I think this is my favourite NickyTV video so far, I was smiling all the way through. I love that everybody has their own special bond with Nicky, and how all of those different dynamics fit so well together. Johnny’s concern for his brother was obvious, and I nearly died of cuteness when Nicky gave Johnny a bite of his pizza! Her school starting after the first of the year to keep the special needs classes at school and the other kids at home. I remember you guys talking about that in a video. So glad Nicky was able to get back to a good headspace with everyone's help. Awesome to see John able to get work too. That must be a relief. Maybe with so many changes going on in the house, and going from a full house with a high level of excitement to back to normal, that may also have played into Nicky's meltdown. She doesn’t know what sets hers off it just happens. She is verbal and can communicate. She’s very articulate but yet that happens. 1st I want to say I love the video yesterday with Johnny and Nicky sitting on the couch together on the blanket, and today when he was going to sip the coffee and pretended to drink it had me laughing so hard. It melted my heart when he gave Johnny a bite of his pizza.. I love the gym. It has got to be incredibly hard When they can't communicate what's bothering them, And you know something was bothering him. I believe soon he will be able to communicate that, He is talking so much better everyday That's because of all the work you guys put in with him.

Our daughter had a breakdown once she got in the car after school a lot. The doctor told us that it was probably because she had to hold everything together all day and be around so many people. Once she got to a safe place then all the emotion let out. She is very high functioning so I didn’t catch on with her rough times. Of course in 90’s and early 2000’s, less was understood about autism but our doctor did explain the spectrum to us. Nick holding the pizza up for Johnny was heart-warming 🥰

Aww, sorry Nicky. Nice job settling him down dad. John might be right. Abbey Maas has had averse reactions to going home as well. In fact, in yesterday’s vlog, they decided to drive around again after she did not want to get out of the car in the driveway. She’s done this before. I think she likes her house too but I also think, like all of us, we just don’t want to go home sometimes and want to go do something else instead. I can remember that when I was teenager too.

My16 year old autistic daughter is giving me a hard time about going to school she has a meltdown and aggressive I think it is a change in our life that dad is in the home and it is confusing babout back forth with school leatning

So hard to know exactly what is upsetting to them. My nephew is going through something and my sister has gone back to pressure brushing and joint compressions. Have you heard of those?

Kitchen cabinets being redone maybe cause upsetting adjustments

I can’t get over how kind and patient everyone is. Especially Sam. Can you share again who Sam is? He is a friend/support person for Nicky? Is this his future field of work? Such and kind, and handsome guy lol Great work guys!

Hellooo, Sam is my younger cousin. Sam’s mom watched my boys when they were little so Sam and my boys have a very special relationship. Sam was inspired by Nicky to become a special education teacher. We hired him through OPWDD/Self direction for Nicky after school 🦩💙

I am still trying to figure out if Sammy is Nick's favorite person... or of Nick is Sammy's favorite person! Sure the feelings are mutual... 😆 🤣 😂

You’ve got a couple of big changes going on in the house right now which may be what’s setting him off. It’s odd that such happiness can turn in a dime but that’s those teenage hormones. My boy does it too, but he gets really sad and does SIBs. We had to go get stitches. PS: I gave up on contractors coming in my house years ago. I do all my own painting, plumbing, trim work, etc. i find it to be distracting/therapeutic/fulfilling.

Oh my goodness. I'm sorry to hear that boy was injured. That's a tough day for sure. Yup, it certainly can be all the changes. We are very hopeful that his language growth is going to lead to him being able to tell us why he is angry or sad. Nick's teacher really wants that to happen too. Those house projects are not in my skillset just yet. Probably never will unless it becomes absolutely necessary. I like doing yardwork, but finding time is definitely a challenge. Thx 🙏🏼 he’s doing well now but school is off until January over here so ... yeah: consistency is key. I think it’s great mrs Harrison is so accessible to you. COVID has made that type of accessibility hard for us. As for the home projects, I owe it to the boy. I learned out of necessity from fixing things. I got tired of just “patching things up.” By the way, blue is calming as is lavender.

I think it is because of the Cabinet situation there’s no doors on the cabinet that could throw him off
