What I don’t get is why they always judge Prophet Muhammad’s influence on us based on what *they* think of him rather than what his actual followers think of him. How can Muslims have an inherently “violent” characteristic when Muslims, after looking at all of the conquests and battles, don’t even use adjectives like “violent” to describe Prophet Muhammad ‎ﷺ? That’s a major flaw in their analysis of the prophet’s influence on us as a community.

Unfortunately these people don't look at the scripture genuinely or the true character of our Prophet ﷺ through authentic sources. Instead they look at the flaws of the Modern Muslims or the non practicing 'Muslims' and say look this is Islam. Some would be so fixed on their way that any other way such as Islam is automatically wrong. How sad that people risk the hereafter just to prove that they are 'right' when in fact they are wrong.

The only difference is I think for myself and trust that God has made my mind and that if anything is truthful he has made it strong enough to withstand skepticism. Firstly, you say that you cannot have sex with them if it is non consensual. However slavery in and of itself is non consensual. You don't choose to be a slave. If the Muslims win a war, the women according to the Quran are rightfully theirs. There is no commandment that the woman must consent to being slaves. The consent of a slave for sex or to marry her off to someone else, was historically not considered necessary. Perhaps you should read the scripture more carefully so that you can see this. Secondly, as for freeing yourself through payment this required a contract granted by the slave owner called a mukataba. Furthermore, there is no obligation upon the master to grant this contract. Also, where is a slave supposed to get that money. They are slaves because they are poor. I will help you make better arguments though. I understand the context of slavery in the Muslim world. Slavery was a mainstay of life in Arabia and outright banning it would have been very difficult for the people of that time to adjust. Fair enough. Furthermore, there is an argument to be made that Islam still radically improved the conditions of slavery overall. For example, Muslims and Non-Muslims living within an Islamic society could not be enslaved. Muslims were encouraged to treat their slaves with dignity which represents an improvement on slavery in previous empires. And of course, if you marry your slave you could free them and this was encouraged. However, ultimately it begs the question as to why a universal and timeless religion has to cater to the context of a time specific society 1500 years ago. If slavery is bad then it should be always be bad with no exceptions.

⁠ I don’t believe PBD likes Islam. But don’t know about hate. He might hate. The birth rate is common sense. Birth rates in India is very low below replacement level for Buddhists, Sikhs and Jains. With 1.7, 1.6 and 1.2 children per woman in 2015. India today has 1.4 billion population. Birth rates among Mormons is slightly higher than Muslims in age group 35-45 in United States. Other Christian groups are lower in birth rates. I don’t really care if PDB is as hateful to Islam as you describing. I watched couple of his videos discussing Islam.

JazakAllahu khair for bringing it up. That guy should have talked about “crusade” which is a Christian term, but that cowardly behavior proves that he has no shame. But if he has a little bit of shame and courage, then he should speak with a knowledgeable well accepted Muslim speaker or scholar. Let’s see if he is man enough to take this challenge and have a discussion publicly, or apologize, or keeps on hiding from knowledgeable Muslims like a little kid.

They don't understand the concept of the law that Allah (SWT) gave Moses (AS) and that the Messiah (AS) was following that law. But to be honest, debating with a Christian is just stupid from our POV. Sahih Bukhari 4:52:280 This is the story of The Jewish tribe of the Banu Qurayza They refused to convert to Islam, and eventually allied with the pagan Meccans against Muhammad and the Muslims, despite an earlier oath with Muhammad not to attack the Muslims. For this betrayal, on the order of Allah by means of his angels, all of the adult men of the tribe were beheaded and the women and children sold into slavery. This is what Muhammad was .

The tribe was given the option to choose the verdict of the prophet or someone else AFTER THEY BETRAYED AN OATH THEY HAD to protect the area and worked with the attackers to plot against the Muslims. They were traitors and their actions were to get Muslims killed. The prophet was still going to want to show mercy but these people picked a fellow former Jew sahaba who converted to Islam thinking he would go easy on them because of lineage. And the prophet agreed. Then the sahaba is the one who passed that judgement not the prophet. This example shows nothing but the mercy and kindness of the prophet that he didn’t even want to get revenge until he was told to do so and even still allowed them to choose their own judge and rather than trust the prophet of God the Jewish tribe chose a former Jewish convert to Islam. This is a beautiful example which you have twisted in your head out of hatred I presume.

Its also important to remember that Jesus (PBUH) was a laymen in the sense that he was a preacher. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on the other hand was of course that too but was also a active duty military officer and commander who not only took part in some battles but also commanded, planned and organized them. Because of this the Prophet (PBUH) had to make many difficult and complex decisions regarding military jurisprudence (court martial, executions etc) which from a ignorant outside view may be scene as violent .

I hate these kinds of extremely ignorant people. What a foolish Christian. May Allah (swt) give him hidayah. And it angers me when people lie about our beloved prophet Muhammed (saw).
