Although I carry a real 44 for defense, I do own an HDR50 11 joule gun as a back-up. Black Powder takes time to reload, even if you are just swapping out the cylinder. So I own a few non-lethal guns. Everything I own is designed to kill or maim. the HDR50 11 joule is very good at this. The Byrna HD or SD gun is the best for quick draw conceal and carry, but less power. If you are interested in BP I carry two 1873 Cattleman's and a 36 caliber Pepperbox.

I have the later version rifle but as the faux magazine mounts to the picatini rail I left it off and purchased a pair of magazine clips and mounted them just in front of the trigger. I also went over to the tuned alloy barrels added three to get the barrel to protrude out the front and instead of the faux silencer I added a muzzle flash eliminator now the power is much better it hits what you aim for every time. I use the alloy magazines as they grip the balls tighter which means the move quicker out the mag, and was wondering if these metal bullets would work in the alloy magazines have you tried them, bearing in mind here in the UK we are allowed no more power than 7-5jules, although I have the power booster kit but not fitted it yet, I use a red/green dot or laser and torch along with a very similar bipod to yours but it has a quick release levr built in so handy to transfer to my KRAL 22 air rifle.

Amazing video !! How far do you think these are effective, what if someone needed shooting at 20 yards , would they still have the same energy?
@AirgunAlley
Жыл бұрын
Hey thanks a lot man! The issue with 20 yards is, first and foremost, the accuracy of the HDR 50 - it’ll easily miss the target at that distance haha. But also a CO2 powered gun, tuned at 11 joules, won’t deliver much power at 60ft, regardless of the ammo. I think max effectives of these bullets, shot form this gun, would be max 30ft / 10 yards…

In any case, the drawing of the project can help but it will not make the projector stable, it has been possible to see municipal plastic capsules with drawing and steel ball and some clan others they bounce when hitting the midwife behind. Why does this happen? Because it is a smooth bore weapon, it is not rifled so the output of the ammunition will not cause the drawing to make a trajectory
@alfonso7851
Жыл бұрын
We believe that the ballistics here behaves differently in terms of its trajectory and its stability, but I don't know if it can confirm such a thing, moreover, we use a 50-cal steel ball, that is, a 12mm and a 9mm one.encapsulated in a rubber wrapped with drawing and the difference in penetration is only relative to the weight and the increase in speed in the one with less weight but when it hits it can make the projectile to the front in the case that it has a point or upside down why the projectile does not maintain its direction why it comes out of a smooth bore pipe so the shape is not decisive, what is decisive here is the weight in relation to the velocity that this causes as a result of the penetration and damage. It is true that the design of the projectile can produce more damage but it will never improve the trajectory according to the type of projectile why this depends on the barrel and its grooves which is what propels the projectile in a sustained way the direction of the shot starts from the barrel and a barrel With a smooth bore it does not provide direction in the shot, an example is how muzzleloader bullet shots are shot without a shape in the trajectory, it does not matter how the round projectile in shape the bullet will come out in front with no direction maintained.
@alfonso7851
Жыл бұрын
We must always keep something in mind that the rifled or rifled anima barrel improves accuracy, so the shape of the projectile is important, why the projectile when fired turn on the grooves of the barrel and that makes it maintain its shape until the impact, while if we fire a projectile in a smooth bore the projectile rotates on itself and the barrel and at the moment the projectile loses its direction and can turn on itself in the trajectory, that is why we have been able to see how in some tests we see the impact of falling head-on or falling on the back, that is because it turns on itself without direction, with great force, yes, but it does not influence aerodynamics if you have an object with aerodynamics and it does not have a direction point will have no effect on aerodynamics only mass and velocity

@RobSlopezJr

Mine did, but only because I overtightened it and the other day I heard a leak and turned t upside then bam, got hit right in the face with the punch button and CO2 cylinder. Luckily it was leaking before it came loose, so it was just like taking a decent punch to the chin. Mine was a monster too. Only 6 shots, but every nylon ball I shot at a metal plate I have, completely busted apart.
@AirgunAlley
Жыл бұрын
Hey, yes you raise a very good point. A lot of people have complained about the same issue. Even sending letters to Umarex. Now, the people I heard this happening to - most had their guns modified. I don’t know about the Amazon reviews. Umarex clearly points out to never touch the insides of these guns, but the first thing people do, is go and remove the valve restrictor. I suspect that with an original valve, this happens less. But I could be wrong! Also, I empty out the CO2 after every shoot. A gun should never explode, by all means, but removing the gas helps avoiding accidents… To be investigated….

Hahaha no I noticed that they can be out of stock one day and have them the next. I’d check again tomorrow and the next day. I think they only make a few for each batch…

Hey Joe! Wait, what? 😂🤔 I need a bit more input
So the Aluminum get their much faster but the Steel hit much harder with more power. Middleweight vs Heavyweight boxer.

Is the jelly head equal to a human or would these bullets not penetrate thr human body?
@AirgunAlley
Жыл бұрын
No, a head is made mostly of bone. At close range you may fracture a skull, and induce a lot of pain. The power of these guns is not strong enough for a bullet to penetrate a human body. That’s why they’re considered Less Lethal.

These bullets do not deform, all the energy is applied to the target which is the strong point. HDR 50 is an excellent Airgun revolver. 👍

My friend you will have to google them. Unfortunately Ebay has deleted all the accounts of ammo producers. Some quit, others sell directly on the their websites. Good luck!
And that weapon is 11J and you see speeds of 15J and more?

I agree! Those more realistic gel busts cost around 500$ - the gel head costs less than 50$ 😂

Air Gun Ally : I have a question. How long do these rubber ball gun Last before the seal leaks?
@AirgunAlley
Жыл бұрын
If you keep the stock valve of these guns the way it is, put a few drops of silicon oil every now and then and treat it righjr- they should last a long time. The CO2 remains nice and sealed in the cartridge, so there’s no pressure anywhere
