    if you are still having trouble make sure that you are using the middle of your thumb and not the tip. if you use the tip of your thumb it is harder to control the other chips on the pull down.

    i did it twice after 10 mins lol. it's all about the thumb flip. you need do it from the bottom for the slide. make sure you squeeze tight so they don't fall and don't forget to guide it with index finger. Practice makes it perfect.

  • @guscavin3011

    Some chips have bumps on them along the edges, some designs have the heads of a die marked on the checker pattern on the outside. Little details like that add texture to the chips that occasionally catches other chips. Older chips might not have that design, or the details might have eroded away from fidgeting and tricks just like this.

    after flipping all four i'm taking a pause and pushing the chips to the tip of the fingers and restarting again. that pause doesn't look so good.. any idea to do it continuously?

  • @guscavin3011

    @guscavin3011

    2 жыл бұрын

    I think that it inherently can't be truly continuous. Flicking the front chip just move it to the back, and the now front chip never gets moved forwards. Maybe after you push the chip down you could very slightly loosen your grip and push forwards with your thumb a bit. But if it can't be continuous, I'd just try making it look more casual, like shaking your hands down a bit to move the chips forwards.

  • @hackmattr

    At first I had trouble just flipping the chip. Found that my grip was wrong. Now I can do it twice in a row without the stack moving after about 5 minutes of practice. Thanks for the video. Time to practice some more and hopefully intimidate my friends a few poker nights from now (or at least distract them).

  • @upplsuckimcool16

    I can't get the remaining chips to simply not just fall over into my hand. Is it gravity or grip that prevents this? Edit: Yeah no matter what I do the chips just simply fall over. I don't get how that's not happening for you.

    So I can do the first second and third chips inconsistently. By the end the stack is loose and falls over. I also don’t think I’m pushing down hard enough to get A: a decent sound and B: the chips locked back together. When I do try to push it down the way he does it messes with the stack and they have to be reset. If I roll it and let it fall I can do 2 or even 3 in a row but then it’s unstable..

  • @redbeardofsteel8963

    @redbeardofsteel8963

    Also if my grip is tight enough to keep it stable the flip chip has a chance to fall or it doesn’t connect to the back

The chip itself is made out of actual clay with porcelain faces pressed in. Check them out: www.shopbicyclecards.com/Premium-8Gram-Clay-Poker-Chips-with-Tray-100ct-P162C53.aspx

    Practiced for an hour already and cant do it but I have a few questions: Do you hold the chips with a firm grip or relaxed grip? How does your thumb get enough grip to push the front chip up? My thumbs just slides up the chip because of the smooth surface. Do you need clammy hands/fingers for this to work?
