indeed, but by 1994 her voice was already thinning out which would lead the daydream technique so yeah merry christmas era is the transition between music box and daydream’s voice

1994 she was mainly hoarse and tired so it's not really counted.

Her true prime. Music box/Merry Christmas over Daydream and every other era. The depth and tone. That vibrato. Those piercing whistles. The full package

her midbelts in music box era were totally unmatched !!! great video! ~

Yeah. It's more of a like whisper full of air. Here's my tip to hearing it, listen for a dark deep tone and try blocking out the music, and audience to hear it.

One of the greatest compilation and a great era for Mariah indeed, but I'd avoid using supported range term anymore, it's literally pointless at this point But even if use it in a way you're using it (describing what you think is her best vocal technique moments) - there're tons of notes here, which aren't good technically, even as low as Eb5. Mariah isn't and was never a consistent singer, which this compilation perfectly shows, so it's really hard to evaluate her consistent "supported range" as you say I'd rather name it just consistent range or tessitura, in her case it's def lower than belted F#5 in all eras and stages of her voice. Yes, F#5 sounded good, but sounded good =/= being good from technical point of view, you can hear how Mariah is pushing all the way through Also, low audio quality, especially on that MSG concert gives us an impression that her voice is really powerful, solid and resonant, while in reality it's not really like that, which clips with proper audio quality (most TV-performances) clearly shows, how raspy and thin she sounds up there But anyways, those are just my thoughts. I'll be waiting for Daydream Era range, which is just a terrible thing that no one has done a solid compilation just yet, although I was going to do it, but I guess it's not the best time for me, lmao

I created this in celebration of Mariah's 30th anniversary of Music Box album, which it was my most favorite era of her vocally & tonally. If I will be having free time, then I will create Daydream era vocal range maybe in few months or I don't know because I'm kind of busy.

She ain't pushing all the F#5s. Many were technically good. When her voice ain't in the best condition, she pushes more. + She was consistent in some years

I get what you mean but are you sure the rasp is not from her nodules? Also, she was tired a lot during 1994 and mostly hoarse so you can't really count that against her. And yeah, she's not properly trained so ofc she would have some minor flaws with pitch being one of them. But her mid belts are her best from Bb4-Eb5. She starts to use more of a heady mix from F5-F#5. And sometimes she sings too much in the nose causing some nasal. I think that's why. I hope I make sense.

@@whitneyhouston1122 U made some gr8 points. Nodules played a role. Heady mix tho ain't it when it comes to Mariah. She mostly belted even F5 and up but without forcing weight up + more of a heady placement.

@@JERVIEDORADO Yes, but those are completely different keys, they're built in different ways and revolving around different keys Eb maj melody is built around: Eb, G and Bb While C min is built around: C, Eb and G They do share same keys on the piano, but the "mood" is different

There are no any G5 LIVE belts in this era. The claimed G5 in AYNAF was F#5 since she lowered one key.
