Aragorn's character is impeccable. Truly, he's all that is man. Dood protects the weak and innocent, steps up and leads although he doesn't want the power, cry's when he loses a friend, sings when he has won. And gets the girl! What a role model.

If you are wondering about aragorn's singing, the song is Elendil's oath. Aragorn's song has power to heal people (not shown in movies but is in books. He even heals eowyn after the battle of pelenor fields). To sing the song means to heal people, to sing the song at coronation means to heal the wartorn kingdom.

Fatalnightshade What do you honestly think they needed to improve upon, and have you read the books? I remember walking in the theatre to the Fellowship with my expectation level ranging from either walking out early, or the best they could possibly make these films, still expecting several discrepancies from the books. When the movie ended i felt that they had exceded my best expectations.

Sometimes people forget that Gandalf is a Maiar in human form, sent by Manwe to challenge Sauron... because he was afraid... and the only one to succeed in his task. Saruman failed, the Blue Wizards poofed, and Radagast became more concerned about the wilds. But Gandalf not only was resurrected, because he showed true heroism and sacrifice... against the Balrog of Morgoth, but also because he was always true to his task... never faltered. And then Aragorn not only has the honor of being his friend, but is crowded by an angel, or minor god... what ever the Maia are. The fact is... he is like blessed by the heavens to be king... basically.

Viggo sang this with such grace, with his baritone voice. His deep timbre makes the spirit swell, as if you were in Minas Tirith, at his coronation, in person. It is a work of true, pure magic. The magic, grace, and beauty of the human spirit. "My friends, you bow to no one". - Aragorn The most profound quote from this movie, among the list from the work of Tolkien. ❤

Yeah, I also thought of Beren and Luthien when I saw this scene. I'm sure Elrond realized this when he watched this reunion too, having lived in the First Age. Such a beautiful moment. But having read The Silmarillion numerous times, I realize that it would take a dozen movies, at least, to convey the scale of events that arose in that age... I would love and fully appreciate such an endeavor, but it doesn't seem feasible at this time,, :( But one can dream right?? ;)

Andrew Hill already did and I watch their videos then I can say: Some movies like LOTR, the criticism are irrelevant. People expect perfection, but mistakes always happen. So, I'm not an annoying nerd that complain about everything, I'm a calm and balanced guy that know how to appreciate the good things in life and forgive minor mistakes. Cinema Sins isn't a channel to be taken seriously, but with sense of humor.

Andrew Hill Cinema Sins is a channel dedicated to nitpicking. I mean, seriously. Have you seen the Back To The Future analysis? They don't do this seriously. I take all of their videos with a grain of salt. There are some truly bad films out there and they do dissect them properly, but a moderately faithful adaption of a book written fifty years ago, to excellent effect, isn't worth a video that is, quite literally, just a tongue-in-cheek scalpel test.

I still watch the LOTT movies regularly and tell my kids that daddy watched them when I was young. As an Aussie I’m stoked that fellow Aussies contributed so much to these movies.
