I love the prequels and a big part of the reason is Hayden Christensen. He did such an amazing job as Anakin/Darth Vader (which is my favourite character). I also respect the fact that he is keeps his life private and focuses on the people around him. I like him so much, I think he is a great actor and a down-to-earth, respectful good guy and I hope we see himin the big screen soon (I really want him to appear in ep viii).

Danae Foulani so true finally someone who Things like me!! I Will Never understand the hate on him. Playing Anakin was really hard because of the physical and psychal pain he went through... Hayden is such a kind and cool guy, Not like many other celebreties who change because of the fame. I'd really love to See him in one of the next Star Wars Movies

I also absolutely love him. He played the part of Anakin so perfectly, exactly the way it was written. Lately I've been looking up movies he has done and I watch one every week or so. So far I haven't disliked a single one. He conveys emotion so well.

I agree, I know he is a good actor, no one can persuade me otherwise, because I have seen several films of his, I am not limited to SW. Private life is private; that is why it is called private, I believe others should keep it that way too. But each as they like it. I hope I will see some more films with Hayden in starring role, he is awesome. He is also a kind guy.

Hayden was quickly plunged into the limelight in a STRONG and unrelenting way. Couple that with Star War fans which can be rabid and hateful as well as sweet and kind... I am certain Hayden got overwhelmed quickly (just as Decaprio did) with fame and celebrity (not an EASY process to maneuver). Hayden was bombarded so thoroughly it's amazing he has stuck with it and made some good movies and hasn't fallen to drugs or womanizing: His movies: Life as a House, Awake, Shattered Glass, Jumper, Takers, American Heist, 90 Minutes (and more) showed he has tenacity. I give him a HUGE amount of credit for his talent and his self assurance. I look forward to his up-coming movies, he's amazing on the big screen and was born for it...period!

Or more... It really depends on the feedback of Star Wars Fans. Because if they make more Star Wars Anthology's set near The Prequels and Before The Original's? They may use him again. Plus if Rey is the reincarnation of Anakin as said in the reported leaks. He will have to appear as a Force Ghost in Episode VIII to tell her that.

4:10 "Acting pain is a unique challenge". Well I think very much that Hayden nailed acting pained in the prequels. All of his anger and sadness I thought he acted very great. For physical pain, in Revenge of the Sith, when he's burning up, it looks very real to me.

I'm not interested in this movie but Christensen needs an up-to-date film that can showcase his acting range. I think he's a talented young actor. I respect him for avoiding this woman's attempt to invade his personal beliefs. Christensen is in my top 5 casting picks to play Rhaegar Targaryen if HBO greenlights GRR Martin's Game of Thrones prequel series.

The interviewer's question was interesting and relevant to the subject matter of the film being promoted here. The mystery of whether or not there is an afterlife is fundamental to human experience, and what each of us thinks about it can inform both outlook and behavior in our day to day life. Also, actors are routinely asked how work on a particular film may have affected or changed them in some important way. Hayden could have answered directly in a very general and diplomatic manner that did not involve the discussion of specific religions and doctrines. Instead, as is usually the case with these sort of celebrity interviews promoting a project, Hayden chose to avoid saying much of anything interesting or substantive. I do not blame him for this, however, even though it is disappointing for those of us hoping the interview will consist of something more than just fluff. I understand that actors in Hollywood are instructed and expected to play the game this way. For a film being marketed primarily to a "faith-based" audience, I suppose it would not have been good publicity if he had said anything implying that his own beliefs were either atheistic, agnostic, or even merely non-Christian. Regardless, I personally would have preferred learning the truth of the matter whether or not it might have upset some people with rigid belief systems.

  • @42kellys

@@Daniel-415-Ponce Yes, it is nice to know perhaps but he cannot harm the film and also, an aswer of that sort canbe twisted and misquoted and cause useless bad reamrks and slashes of attacks from the media and fans, so I absolutely understand his steering away from this sort of answers. I woudl have done the same. He was being wise here. He may have not bothered otherwise revealing his personal belief or perhaps he woudl have never done so, we do nto knwo but in this situation it was best unsaid and he did well not to say anything at all, as disappointing it may be as it was. Celebrities are attacked for everything and it is hard ot keep the line.

Hayden Christensen is universally underrated along with the prequels. You so called True Star Wars Fans take down the reception of the prequels with a passion and waste your time either on a small character, or quotes seen or said in the trilogy. Seriously you guys take these movies so hard I bet one of you fans made a unnecessary hours review about the video(redlettermedia), you should appreciate George for expanding the universe in star wars & stop complaining about jar jar fucking eating pickles pickles. I bet if George filmed the prequels in the mid 70's and 83, you all would be bashing the originals and the hatred of jar jar will be replaced by probably the ewoks, the cantina band, Chewbacca or YODA HIMSELF!!!!! So stop complaining on how Hayden acting skills was poorly. It clearly says ALONG TIME AGO IN A GALAXY FAR FAR AWAY!!!!! Shakespeare or any love references wasn't present or fucking exist yet so cut Anakin some slack. I hope the originals does not get released in dvd or blu ray format. You all don't deserves it after all the nonsense and BS you goes carried on for years now. I SHOT FIRST......DEAL WITH IT ;(

Hopefully Hayden comes back in a future Star Wars installment, now that J.J. Abrams is at the helm. Because, his portrayal as Anakin wasn't his fault, it was George Lucas' fault for not giving him proper direction and handing him an awkward script. You gotta admit though, the silent scenes with Anakin are very good, because he does give that presence of authority and intimidation when he just stares into the distance. Those scenes are great, it's just the script and direction that needs work.

every single interview he does, idk if he can't help it or what. but every answer he gives when he's talking he just can't shake the word "UHH" Maybe it's just a verbal tick after so many years of being an actor doing those interviews but he says "Uhh" an awhful Lot. just stating the obvious

It's not religion encouraging, it's encouraging to believe in God! There's a difference. It's just what we DO need in this wretched world.

In a society so heavily influenced by a religious ideology which teaches that its own is the only true way-to and perspective-on "God," the difference, if any, is so negligible that in effect, it's irrelevant. People have been conditioned by religion to associate "God" with religion so deeply that they can't help but think of one when they hear mention of the other. Most people's concept of "God" has its origin in the distortions of religion. Therefore, "encouraging to believe in God" is encouraging religious indoctrination and ultimately participation. Besides, are you really gonna look at the trailer in this video, with the room full of white candles and the "O Lord!" and the people gathered with vigil candles in church, and tell me this film isn't profoundly infused with religiosity? Obviously not. And this is exactly HOW people are conditioned to believe that "God" and religion are inextricable from one another. This is how indoctrination is enacted and reinforced. Emotional stories about belief in deity involving religious imagery and practices and terminology. It's mind-control, and it's not doing people the beneficial service you have been led to believe that it is. Also, you're white. Don't say "ratchet" (or at least not in that sense of the word.) There are people in this world who would beat the crap out of you for that. I'm not one of them, but they definitely exist.

Let's start with the fact that you are disappointed with an actor for ACTING in a movie about faith... kind of like being disappointed with Jack Nicholson for playing the role of the Joker. People are being brainwashed to believe in anything and everything but God or a higher power. Whether you deem it ridiculous or not, belief in God is meant to bring out the good in people and inspire them to do better. Maybe you cannot distinguish between what the root of religion is and what the people/institutions, who declared themselves mediators between God and people, are doing or saying in the name of religion/God (think Inquisition). I apologize for using the word ratchet, I meant wretched...and if it were a 1 on 1 fight, I probably wouldn't get my ass kicked :). Again, Hayden played a role and he certainly tried to keep his personal beliefs out of this interview.

It's funny that you think this movie or any other religion-related movie has any kind of influence over people since those movies aren't even a blip on the Hollywood radar.
