From Tagbilaran airport, we went straight to our accomodation at Alona beach, Panglao island which is just ten (10) to fifteen (15) minutes away. We checked in at Hayahay @ Genesis hotel which is just a stone throw away from the shore.
The room is decent for its price of P2,650 pesos a night. However, we had a bad experience as they charged us P1,000.00 for a broken ring of the plastic key chain. As it turn outs, the hotel has a list of charges for damages in the hotel but such list was never given or explained during the check in process. It was also not included in the terms of conditions of our booking at booking.com.
So for prospective clients, be aware that Hayahay Hotel charges P3,000.00 pesos if you stain the bed sheets, P16,000.00 if you damage the TV, P3,000 if you damage the remote control, and so on.
