Problem is, too few people actually know the Rocket 3 and it's capabilities. A Carpenter Rocket will leave any stock Busa in the dust, it can easily produce 240+rwhp, while the first Busa model had under 160rwhp stock. The excess weight is balanced out by it's enormous torque, and the Rocket's gearing is shorter. Plus the front will not lift too easily.

Rocket is not geared shorter than a Busa. Busa turns about 3000 at 60. Rocket turns 2200.

Unless you got one you have no idea the capability, I had a very tuned r1. I would quarter mile the r1 no problem on my 05 rocket

ace breakdown those triumphs are monsters esp the 3rd level upgrade plus there pulling extra weight than a busa

2300cc's. ported& tuned with a rider with balls of steal! hard to beat!

Oh, BTW, I have a 2012 ZX-14R. Basic bolt-ons, stock motor, right at 200hp to the tire. If anyone has a modded rocket in the DFW area or within say, 100 miles or so, we could meet and do some highway rolls. I'm not saying I'll win, but I won't go down quite as easily. lol... You'll have to bring the camera, I don't have a GoPro.

Not to surprising. Running a Stock 1340cc Busa against a highly modified 2300cc Rocket III what would one expect? I accept the results. Would have been more impressed to see both bikes stock that way I'd get a better idea about a stock Rocket III. Considering I don't know how much a Rocket III sells for and there's there's the mod which I'm guessing is $4,000 Plus depending on the mod. I'm sure there's quite a bit more money in the Rocket III plus it is 2300cc's. My Busa was $11,500 new, how much is in the Stock Rocket III and how much was the mods? My feeling aren't hurt at the results, I would expect nothing else! I do appreciate how wicked fast that modded Rocket III is. There is a little more than just a tune, be honest about that! All good fun! )

I don't get why people are so upset about this. Stock bike vs a modified bike with huuuge engine. Speed costs, how fast do you want to go. I sat on the Rocket when I picked up my 765 last weekend, that's a big bike [the Rocket], lol.

Ok, If this bike is making 240rwhp it is NOT just tuned up! It's a fully worked over motor! So this is like comparing Apples to Oranges. If I put that much power into my bike it would kill that tank. Ya torque is nice but I don't see tractor trailers at the drag strip... This bike stock is 140hp with 147ft,lbs and weighs 700lbs!!!! I'm not convinced unless that busa is 90hp.LOL

I know it seems to defy physics at first, but it's actually pretty logical: At about 40 mph in 1st gear, a Hayabusa rider is barely done letting the clutch go. Even a (totally detuned) stock Rocket dishes out 100hp @ 4000 rpm at the same speed, which means it is in it's sweeet spot already... That's why nothing beats a Rocket off the line, and if you just let the engine breathe and give it a decent amount of gas it becomes a real contender til 100mph already.

Rocket spedo is a max of 160 and has a redline of 9k? And the busa in 3rd gear at 80? 1st is 90 he should be rolling in 2 at 80mph?

No it doesn't really. I wouldn't call a rolling start going 10mph at 1k rpm a rolling start lol. If it was a real race they be rolling down the road at 65-70 in frist. the rocket redlines at 9k at 2500 is were it makes the most power. they should have been a stop and launched.

Plum Loko the busa race at 1:37 is 90mph rollon in 3rd vs 90mph already rolling in 2nd... and no difference. Busa hits limiter at 80mph in 1st. Again you can see this in the vid. And rockets red line at 6500rpm not 9k. No petrol engine makes max power at 2500rpm I think you're beyond help

Carpenter Rockets redline is set at 9000, the Gauge red starts at 7, and the last indicated on the Rocket gauge is 8000, yes it revs past the gauge max mark. Speedo max is 140mph, not 160mph.

It is not a standing start.

Triumph is the truth.. most people cant handle the truth.

Busa at full throttle in 1st gear will wheelie at around 45 mph. The one in the video doesn't do this.

Look at 02:45, both Hayabusas accelerate perfecctly in tandem, one wheelies bigtime and the other doesn't, so it depends on the rider...........you are right about the wheelie speed/gear though

Confirming the race was legit. Also in this video, you can time gen 1 and gen 2 hayabusas from 80 to 150mph and they all take about 8 secs so..... sorry!

Friend of mine was part of TheBusaBoys mc. He had to chop the throttle to stand the busa up buddy. Unless you've ridden both bikes you really cant comprehend what a carpenter built rocket can do. That rocket has 240hp....and that's only a stage 2 kit. The big difference is the torque the rocket has as much torque as the busa has hp

Just end this silliness. Get a STOCK Rocket III and a STOCK Busa and have them do this all over again. Busa lovers can't get over a MODIFIED (any other) bike being capable of out running their love. That was clearly proven, in the comments, of the first video. If Busa lovers think the Busa is the end all, be all, why do they have to defend the Busa at all? (rhetorical question - I know, they have doubts of the ability of their beloved Busa) // 5252, get a STOCK Busa and a STOCK ZX-14 and then listen, to the Busa faithful hoot and howl about the Busa rider holding back, being shiftless, dogging it, laying back, etc., etc. That feedback will be much worse than this was. Everyone should know the Busa does not stand a chance at winning a race against the mighty, king, ZX-14. BAWHAHAHAHAHA!!

It's all good man, let em hate. When you roll up on (insert ANY vehicle here) with your Carp R3, and demolish their precious, just revel in their booboo face. I own a Carp R3, you...will...not...win.
