Hayabusa turbo dyno test with Geartronics paddleshift

This is a turbocharged Hayabusa powered car of Austria's Georg Pacher undergoing dyno testing at Radical Performance Engines. Gear shift is by the Geartronics closed-loop GCU, interfaced to a Life Racing F88 engine ECU. Dyno testing does not accurately simulate the real loads on a transmission, but it can be a useful tool to get some baseline parameters, and to help improve engine response for the downshift throttle blipping. One thing we don't do is make claims about gear shift times that have been acheived during dyno testing, as this would give a false impression of what is possible on track.

Did a 430 Scuderia track session (rented it). Then I bought an Alfa 4C (a 430 Scuderia with anorexia). Eh... close enough.

+slspg See Nurburgring fast on-board with Radicals with various engine configs. I think there are laps with SR3 Hayabusa normally aspirated , turbo version and SR 8 with V8 Hayabusa version using two 1340 four cylinder cylinders and custom bottom end. Fantastic record laps with Michael Vergers, there pro racing driver.

Thumbs up. Do like this clip. I guess it has had lots of head work, cams with different duration - lot's of flames on over run. I guess the flames on up shift are due to killing the ignition for a fraction of a second to enable full throttle shift? I'd like to fit a similar system in a car at some point.

Not really as they are insane even stock. Most set ups like this would have Forged turbo Wisco pistons and Carrilo con rods, heavier valve and clutch springs head bolts . That's about it.

Is this a single hyabusa engine? Or two hyabusa engines 'merged' together to form a V8?
actually this is an H1 V8 busa, combining the headers of 2 hayabusa engines to 2,6 liter. the turbocharged top spec model you can get from holeshot racing is bored to 3.0 turbocharged and is 1050 bhp, and 730 nm torque. quite impressive for an engine that weighs 95 kg dry... this engine will var between 600 and 100 bhp!

Definitely a four cylinder. if you look closely you can see the intake on the right of the engine. If it were a v8 you would be able to clearly see a header on the right.

No this is 100% the 4 cylinder Hayabusa with single turbo and single exhaust pioe. Not the V8 version which as far as I know is not running twin turbos.

@@chipcity3016 the V8 Hayabusa engine is available from at least 2 sources in 2 forms ( Macroblock by RPE and Monoblock sold by JFC and designed by Hartley Enterprises aka H1V8 ) and is available in a 2.8 Ltr Twin Turbo @ 150 kg or 3.1 Ltr single Turbo. compared to the 100 kg N/A engines or the 88 kg 72 deg. Macroblock

Definitely not that car. This car is based on a Formula BMW chassis and is owned and raced by Georg Pacher of Austria.
I'd love to put one of these into a factory 5, 818 chassis. I think you'd have a supercar killer that even looks the part for a fraction of the cost.
