    Appreciate the comparison video! Here some of my experience with the kanpeki gloves, 16oz, using them for around six years, train 3-5 times a week kickboxing / mma. Awesome gloves! The first pair I bought, I have tried a few other brands over the years and none of them feel as 'snug' as these. Every six/nine months I clean them up and treat them with leather/saddle grease and they are good to go again. Will be purchasing the Italian leather ones to reduce wear on the Kanpekis, it's starting to show. No tearing or damage, but I feel the filling is starting to thin out a little. The Kanpeki will lose that nice shine fast, in a few months of bagwork and sweaty sparring 😉 Still love them and one of my best buys ever!

    Do you have an opinion on these vs. the Cleto Reyes extra padding training gloves? I'm shying away from the standard Reyes gloves to avoid hurting my hands and wrists with power shots. I owned some Kanpeki Elites a decade ago and I really like them.

  • @hectoribarra1245

    I own 16oz Cleto Reyes extra padding. I have semi-fragile hands and those gloves hurt my hands for a long while until I broke them in. About 10-15 days of use, training on pads and heavy bag. They are top quality gloves, for sure, but if you have a history of hand injuries I'd chose something besides Reyes. Look for better padded gloves, maybe the Japanese style. I haven't owned Hayabusa, so I can't say anything about them.

    Hayabusa vs Reyes for heavy bag work?

  • @fightcitygymtalk

    @fightcitygymtalk

    4 жыл бұрын

    We need to talk Hayabusa T3 vs any Reyes. That is the same price point. Reyes all day, if you want to develop snap and power in your punch. I'm not sure how it dose it, it just does. With that said Hayabusa will offer more protection and feel more snug on your wrist. I'm not sure about which one will last longer I've never seen anyone wear out either Hayabusa T3 or Reyes. I workout with people that have put years on both Hayabusa and Reyes. Over the years Hayabusa looks better. The paint starts to wear on Reyes. So the question is protection or technique and power.
