Hey Pete, bought a few Dexters last year after watching your videos. Cow calved on the hillside in March, poor little guy came out landed on the ground and slid right over the edge onto the fire road 6 ft below. After a successful recovery operation momma and baby were reunited. We named him “Cliff”.

Great video, fully understand your reasoning for doing 3 acres. You and Hilary make a good team, I hope you can continue to make a living doing what you are doing. I think getting out of pig breeding was a good move I just wonder if you could make more of your beef which appears to have a good market and which I think you enjoy doing. It could be a win win situation. More beef income and linked to something you’re obviously interested in.

So true. Just hearing those words makes my day. I watch his videos so much, I know all his jokes! They are so relaxing. I can't wait till he starts using the little excavator.
I love it when the closed captioning interprets the sounds of the farm equipment as "music" 😊
We live in Bulgaria and we stumbled upon your channel while searching for pigs videos for my 2 yo son. He has been a fan ever since, and regularly talks about you as "the Uncle" and "the Auntie". Thanks to you, he now has a more realistic view of farm life (we live in a big city). His favourite content is pigs and everything connected to your tractors and their maintenance. Thank you so much for being a part of this!
I grew up on 400 + acres until I graduated... 175 tillable, over 40 varieties of veggies, horses, cows, pigs and chickens OH MY.. I've worked hard my whole life. Am 70 now and It's good to watch some one else do it!! THX for the memories!!!
I've got to believe that the farmer that drove by on the big John Deere was just a little envious looking at a true classic doing what it does best. I love those old Farmall tractors, my Grandfather had an old Farmall H and a baler with it's own engine running it to bale hay. What great times. Now the house, milkhouse and barn are gone, leaves an empty feeling inside every time I drive by but some of my fondness memories

My old barn and milkhouse have been torn down like yours, but I had preserved them with digital pictures and now see them every day on my computer screensaver. That picture calms me down and brings much pleasure.
Just a few acres is the best show to watch. All the videos are awesome to watch. Pete and Hillary are so cool working together. Pete thanks for keeping all the farmall tractor and equipment and making them like new . So cool to see you working them in the field. Ps your show is awesome thanks again
You look so satisfied and happy running all the tractors and implements that most farmers have discarded. Congratulations on your success and lifestyle.
This is the third year I have watched you make hay. After the old equipment videos, the hay videos are my favorites. They remind me of my youth, when my family made hay every year on our dairy farm. Of course, back then it was small square bales hauled by hand.
Did you hear about the professional farmer? He's outstanding in his field. ;) My one and only farming dad joke.
My second fav tractor videos of yours Pete, to actual cutting of the hay !!! Doesn't take much to put a smile in my heart!!! Anybody want to adopt an ole country girl at heart???
Seeing these old tractors at tractor shows are one thing but nothing beats seeing them in action out in the field. Now that's service. A brand new batchelor pad for Titus and Orden with fresh hay delivered right out of the field.
The vibrancy of the blue sky, green pasture, and immaculately painted red tractor in the angled shot was incredibly beautiful. Cool too to see how you handle scraps bails! Thanks as always, Pete!
Hey Pete and Hilary, Making hay in the sunshine between the rain storms. Thanks for the memories.
Every video you do takes me back 60 years, working on a farm, with the same equipment. My favorite tractor is still the "M", even after driving many newer big tractors. Thank you so very much.
I loved the picture at 14:22 with the MD in the field and the big John Deere four-wheel drive tractor on the road.

You gotta be fast to see it, but Pete gave a farmer style wave with his left hand to the guy in the big John Deere...
Pete, you are and remain an inspiration for a generation of aspiring small scale farmers. Thank you!
Never miss a video. Keep it up Pete and Hillarie You two are great.
Nice start to haymaking despite the shower. When you get a decent weather window, doesn't take long to get over 5-10 acres. We do 4x5 net wrap bales. My son bales and I concentrate on moving them to the barn with the spear on the loader and a rear spear on the 3 pt. Watching you carry the calf brought back memories of working on a cow-calf operation. Enjoy seeing you and Hilary working together!!!
Every time I watch you it makes me glad I found your channel. 🙂
I became acquainted with your channel through my dad. He said, "Hey, check this guy out. He's from close to where we used to live." I grew up back in the 70's in Dryden. And then in the first few minutes of your video today you're wearing a Hope College t-shirt and I live 25 minutes east of where that is located. How fun! 🙂I really enjoy your channel. It's a breath of fresh, peaceful air in the midst of all the noise in the world today.
Just got done saying how I like that MD and how it sounds before you made the comment about the sound. My wife just chuckled. The MD is what brought me to your channel. Thanks for taking the time to video all aspects of farm life.

Hey, hey…it’s hay day. 💚 (Kudos for leaving the Deere sighting in, Pete)
Great looking calf and mom ! You have a great channel and I love the videos of all your restoration projects great job there as well, along with your faming practices and a big blessing with a great family,,I really enjoy watching your videos and I also get a kick out of your jokes,I'm 66 years old and I'm a retired dairy farmer!
I love the way you integrate the tractor sound in the drone shots. Makes those drone views so much more watchable than when using music.
Perhaps you should wear a rain jacket next time. You could call it your calf coat...LOL

I really loved this video ❤ the smell of rain-soaked hay that dried in the sun smells even better, the rustling and prickly sound of dry hay, the hum of the tractor and its very special smell - all this take me 60 years back in time 🥰
I just realized one bonus benefit from watching your videos. This morning, it was one of these days when everything seems to be going wrong. I woke up on the wrong side of the bed as they say, and everything seems to set me off. Then I sat down for my sunday morning coffee and breakfast and watched this video. And that was that. Watching you and Hillary going about doing your chores, the serene rythm of farm life, and just your calm positive comments on your everyday stuff calmed me down. Better than camomille and a ASMR video combined. This is the best. Thank you Just a Few Acres Farm!

Loved seeing the fleet at work and glad you beat the rain. All's good except the farmer joke. Thanks Pete KC
Pete, when you want to retire, I think a good side job would be audiobooks. You do have a voice that one could listen to while listening to a good book.
That look you have when going from gasoline to diesel is priceless! I get the same reaction just watching. Great video!
I’m a Calvin grad but grew up in Holland so happy to see Hope represented today
I just love the sound of the tractor baling the hay. Makes me think of may child hood on the farm. Thanks Pete.
Pete, my daughter will be 3 in November and every day she tells me “daddy, I wanna watch Pete.” Thank you for the great content!
I love watching the Super C. That is a great looking tractor. I have a UT channel. I know how much work you go through to make your videos. Thank you so much. Your channel relaxes me every time I watch you. I have seen your videos so many times. I know your jokes. THANK YOU!!!
Loved the classic shot old and new while windrowing large modern tractor passes buy in the background. Made a great photo.
Thank you and Hilary! Bart is a beauty. Love the hay making videos!
Only seems like yesterday you were baling last years hay. How time flies but watching you both regulary, helps it pass with ease, thank you both.
Good job Pete, you did it before the rain. Nice watching you. It was very relaxing
Nothing like out in the field raking and baling hay. peace and quiet (soda speaking) no worries just plain calming. Love the song at the end. Just thinking your best video was the benny hill themed with Hillary.
Busy day! Not to mention all the extra work in making the great video shots! Thanks for sharing your day!
I'm a bit late. We tried not to let hay get rain. On the other hand oat straw with rain on it was less dusty in the barn. I also like the sound of the M diesel. Spent days behind the baler pulled by a Super MTA diesel. Thank you Pete.
Hi Pete! An added benefit for using the older self powered farm equipment for people who have one tractor is if the tractor is broken a pickup truck or a vehicle of some kind, as long as the vehicle can pull whatever you using can be used. We used a 4 wheeler to pull an old horse drawn sickle mower and an old trip rake one time. Worked well.
Can't wait for that 756 to get it's turn in your shop! Restoring your old tractors is a lot of fun to watch.
Just came in from several hours of painting my deck to rest. How nice it is to find your video to relax me. Thank you.
One of the best hay making videos I’ve seen!
Pete, your hay raking hat is the best. 👍 Farmall MD sounds good since fixing that dropped valve.
Om living the farm experience through watching you and your activity of farming....but what started it for me was watching you work on restoration of you different tractors....not to forget mentioning your restoring the honey wagon!
Pete I truly enjoy your videos, and so does my seven year old great granddaughter, God bless.

The drone really showcases how beautiful your property is!
Hey Pete and Hillary we enjoy your videos and your knowledge. I love the aerial shots with the drone gives a different perspective. The shot at the end with the great big modern tractor and your well cared for IH was cool too. Long time watching just don't comment much. Hope you and Hillary keep up the good work for a long time. Have a blessed memorial day together from us down here in south Alabama.
Fun to watch! I used to have a used Gehl baler like yours. This brings back some very good memories. Thank you for sharing, Pete. God bless all had a loved one who served and died for our freedom. Have a great Memorial Day.
Pete! We have come up with a name for your type of farming methods! “Calming Farming” so meditative on a Sunday night before bed, thanks to you and Hilary we get to chill with your methods of farming,
It is beautiful to see them old international tractors working farms today David Lowder
I love watching your very nice IH tractors. Those tricycle Farmall tractors are great for raking hay. I have a 1947 H that my grandfather bought new and that was always it's job, running the tedder and the rake. We used to have a cycle mower for it too. Great video.
I have a tedder like that. it has saved me alot of drying time. Trying to get hay dry this time of year in the mountains of SW Virginia can be a challenge
Once again.. awesome drone shots, camera angles, and editing..thanks!! And how you timed your neighbor's J.D. to pass by on cue was superlative!!
I have 5ac north of Nashville Tennessee. I use my great grandfathers 51 cub and sickle to cut my one pasture and use my old cub cadet garden tractors to spray, fertilize and run the manure spreader I have. I use my Super Mta to run my New Holland 55 rake and I store it loose in my barn. Only have a horse and donkey so I don’t need much. Love your videos.
That wisteria looks amazing Pete, Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
There isn’t anything better than just a few acres farm and some coffee in the morning. Good morning Pete and Hillary.
Its a lot of work to run a farm. But Pete & Hillary, you live the good life. 🙂🦋❤️
Another great video. I enjoy watching you & Hillary work your farm. I belive that I told you before that I also have only a few acres farm. 20 Acres to be exat. And at 75 I haven't done anything with it for the last couple of years but your videos encourage me to get back out there.
Hello Pete and Hilary..love your videos..I live in Mo..on just a few acres that have been in our family since 1832..my older son wife and grandkids Hayden 8 Madison 6..moved in with me Hayden watches your show with me and my hope is he will farm when he's of age..other than chickens my son has no interest of farming this land..hoping Hayden will carry on the tradition . your videos has his interest..keep them coming and God Bless..
Good morning !!!! Tractors sound great. Calf looks very good !!!
"Hay " Pete, get it,? I was just wondering how long it takes for you and Hill to process a batch of chickens? I'll bet after years of doing this its a chore that you don't look forward to? Thanks for your calming demeanor. We appreciate y'all!!👍
The tiny bale for the bulls was great. Straight from field to plate. 😊
Always puts a smile on my face to see you pull into a barn full of (taken care of) Farmall tractors...
The really high drone shots are so satisfying to watch. I wish I could watch you do the whole field from that perspective.
The only thing more relaxing than making hay is the beatles song "hay Jude"! (pun intended). Thank you Pete and Hilary.
Pete, I have to thank you! Thank you for being a calm rock in the stormy seas of our modern world. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to "ground" myself before starting into another hectic week of people Thank you Pete for all the work you put into your videos ❤ May god bless you, Hillary, your kids and the whole farm
Hello from the UK, Hi pete hillary, newholland 258 love to see it rust free and painted.
Nice to see those old tractors out in the field doing what they were supposed to do. Keep up the good work Pete and Hillary.
Regardless of one bail or 20 bails, thanks for taking us along with you... Enjoy watching those old tractors runnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn,,,,
Look forward to watching you on Sundays. Greetings from Orange County in the Hudson Valley!
Brilliant. Loved seeing the John Deeres drive by and what must they be thinking... We love ya!
Hail from eastern Washington State. I’m with “Roger K”, who’s flying your drone ? Appreciate your show, it brings back fond memories from days gone by…at least my long term memories are still working well 👍🏻. Keeping the small independent farmer tradition alive…thank you.
It was funny to see the modern tractor pass as you were rowing up the hay. Great video. We used to make alot of hay here. Now mostly silage due to the weather. All the best 🇬🇧.
Good morning,Pete and Hillary
hey i watch ur videos every morning before work im an alchholic no family to help me past it but ur videos always make a day of construction better i vicariously live through you! love your vids
A small slice of tranquility in a turbulant world. Thanks Pete and Hilary for sharing.
Good morning Pete and Hillary, you just made my day one of my favorite things was taken and raking and tethering hay
Good morning everyone! I really enjoy the aerial shots that you do. It gives a different perspective of the farming end of it. 👍❤️📹😃

Love watching this time of year. In Vermont, if we weren’t trout fishing, we were baling hay or mowing hay. Thanks for the memories Pete and Hillary. Safe Memorial Day weekend.
Enjoy your Memorial Day, and never forget why it is a National Holiday. Thanks for the video, it was most enjoyable.
Thanks Pete, I’m was raised a city boy but had 2 uncles that were farmers and I love your tractors!!!!
Hey Pete, was watching this with subtitles on with sound and had to smile when it said ‘music’ when the 6 cylinder International was singing away on the baler. Music it sure is. All the best 👍
Don’t know why but I really enjoy the hay making videos. You’ve inspired me to go cut my grass now!
Loved the video! I’m not as tough as you I’d have to wear a poncho or rain coat doing bulls, ha! Have a great weekend.
Back in my youth, my Dad and 3 neighbors shared a JD 14T baler and an Allis hay conditioner. They got together to help mow hay, and when it was ready to bale, everyone showed up to get the job done. I or one of my brothers drove the baler tractor, and we also ran empty racks to the field and brought loads up to the barn. None of the neighbors ever used a teder that I know of. I'm sure there were a few times it might have came in handy. I do remember a certain red clover patch that got rained on. When we got around to baling it, it was the dirtiest itchiest combination I had ever seen before.

Hi, we never had tedders or conditioners when I was growing up either. Our only way of "working" the hay was raking it, or sometimes going out with pitchforks to manually turn the windrows. It still amazes me that given decent weather, I often put up hay in 48 hours from cut to bale using that equipment, and I do it alone; a one man job. It wasn't uncommon to have hay down for 5 or 7 days when I was a kid.
