Hay, Hell and Booligal - plus a little of My Country

Some Australian folklore and a little bit of Aussie poetry for your enjoyment. Well, I hope you enjoy it, at least!
There's always a bit of debate about the word 'ragged' in Dorothea Mackellar's famous poem, My Country. Some people claim that it should be 'rugged'.
Well, the pages that I read from were copied some years ago from a book in a public library in Sydney. (Sorry, I forgot to mention that in my dialogue.) Also, 'ragged' was the word used, when I learned the poem in primary school and studied it again at high school, so that's good enough for me.
I hope you won't give me 'the flick', because I give you the impression that I'm only 'into' literature. I'm also 'into' lots of other things, such as Christianity, photography, music (Classical & Opera), cycling, etc., so you never know what I might upload next.
Actually, the next one I intend uploading will amaze you!

I really enjoyed your reading of ‘Hay and Hell and Booligal’, Brian. I’m thinking about giving it to one of my students to perform and you’ve given me some ideas. Thank you.
