I seriously anticipate Casey screaming at his normal parts on here. I haven't listened to HH in a long time and now catching up on all the amazingness I've missed. RIP Casey.

Ohio is where I've grown up, I'm 25 right now and trying to become a musician just because of this band/song....25 years and I'm still exactly the same as I was a young kid. Ohio to me is where genuine people are born. Love you Hawthorne Heights

Wow! I was honestly just expecting the same song with unplugged instruments, but I LOVE this acoustic arrangement!
This was the first song I learned on the drums and now that I've picked up guitar, I can't wait to learn this acoustic all over again!
God damn...and all those old feels come rushing back.... Such a great song

I honestly didn't know that. However, what I feel is different about Yellowcard and HH is that there was a demand for both TBS and Yellowcard to release acoustic renditions of both Ocean Avenue and Tell All Your Friends because those albums both translate well into acoustic format. There was no demand for this album to get an acoustic revamp. There dark tone in most of the songs on this album prove to not translate to acoustic well.

i agree. its just a release to get peoples attention for the upcoming ten year anniversary tour. its not self released so i doubt it did anything but make them some extra cash and get APs and the internets attention so theyll have a more successful tour. Can you blame them? lol plus they probably had a little bit of fun doing it.

They are nothing like yellowcard. I've been a fan yellowcard and HH from day 1 and other then both writing great songs I see no comparison.

This album is good, Yellowcard was okay but I love Story Of The Years the most.

Ray "Brownman" Narvaez Jr played the original on his Twitch stream while playing Pokemon Crystal. I wanted to download the original ironically (because we both enjoy the same types of what he calls 'meme songs'), but I did not expect the feels train from reading about the details Casey's death. The doc who scripped him Vicodin deserves to have his medical license revoked.

Too many instruments to be acoustic. They should make it as simple as possible and include the screaming. It's just not the same without it

Most bands don't re-release their big-hit album in acoustic form on the 10 year. In fact, I don't know a single other band(other than SOTY) that did this. Not in this genre of music anyway. Use your fucking brain. This is clearly a rip-off. Yellowcard did this only a couple months ago and had it planned for years.

so explain to me how it is a rip-off? is hawthorne heights stealing yellowcards material? are they profiting off yellowcard? no. a acoustic re-release is a cheap and easy way to make the most profit, and they would obviously use their most popular album. acoustic re-releases of bands most popular songs/albums is a common practice to make money on the quick and cheap.
This is terrible. Don't go on with a band then cover an old song with a different vocalist it's dodgy and usually worse.

JT Woodruff is still the lead vocalist. The screamer/guitar player, Casey Calvert, died of an overdose. The two albums after If Only You Were Lonely were dedicated to Casey.

Old comment but This was actually the last release featuring their original lineup, not counting the screamer Casey that died in 07 of mixed medications due to a doctor who had zero idea what he was prescribing. Less than a month after this release, the drummer left, and a couple months after that, the lead guitarist left. The only remaining members are the lead singer and bassist (even though he came in a few months after the band formed) So, basically, the band was JT, Casey, Eron, and Micah. Matt joined a few months later. Casey died a few years later. They released this a few years after that. Then Eron and Micah left.
This album is good, Yellowcard was okay but I love Story Of The Years the most.
