When this came out I was a freshman in highschool and I used to listen to it religiously.... I used to dream of how things would get better but as an adult I can say it never really gets easier. I wouldn't go back though, good riddance to the teenage years

I was also a freshman. I had the silence in black and white CD and DVD combo. Life was tough for the majority of us who turned to and listened to bands like Hawthorne Heights. One of a kind for the Era and an instrument to the emo scene and emo bands.

2 years later, two years further into adulthood for us, I turned 40 this year and can say without a doubt that I'm alive and living my best life moreso today than I ever did back in my teenage days. Hard work and self improvement and growth and family.

Geez man life is tough for all teenagers, not just in America but across the world. It just is......... Most would say in hindsight it was the best times of their lives though. Some people are just to dramatic. Also, for worse, this era of this type of music promoted depression and self harm as something cool and glamorous to impressionable teens which is ridiculous.

The nostalgia not just for the song but for music based programming and certain websites having their live music performance platforms is UNBELIEVABLE RIGHT NOW.

No, what had happened was, he had a root canal, so they gave him an opiate for the root canal, and it interacted badly with his antidepressants/anti-anxiety meds (I’ve also heard anti-seizure meds, but it doesn’t matter) so no, his passing was an unfortunate accident. He was definitely sober.

I didn't realize he couldn't actually sing. Yikes
