"Dandelions" lyrics
I've waited so long to be swept out with the tide
I burned up my youth playing it loose
Just trying to survive
I sold my tears and I paid my dues
I faced my fears and I sang the blues
I sang for you
When there's no one left to love
And we've all turned to dust
We float like dandelions and ravage everything we touch
When there's no one left to trust
And we're all out of luck
We grow like dandelions and ravage everything we touch
I've been hated so long in these cold and lonely nights
I ran from my past hoping it'd last
Frozen here in time
I sold my soul and I lost my way
I spilled my blood and you rode my wave
You dug my grave
We all turn
We all turn to dust

Let’s all just keep Casey in mind guys 🖤

That guy screaming is Mark McMillon. He started with the band as just a touring guitarist, but he became an official member as the lead guitarist and screamer after Micah Carli left in 2015.
It's so amazing that after all these years Hawthorne Heights is still making music

This is so good. Hawthorne Heights reached new height
Second this is so good that y’all are keeping making music I deal with depression and anxiety and I’ve lost so many ppl close to me in my life to drugs and suicides mostly and I lost my brother five years ago and I struggled for the first three years to stay sober and now I am sober but life is crazy hard I was only used to drugs taking care of my life and emotional mental problems or just got me to forget about them but I am still so used to how I never had to really deal with life and problems everywhere that I never knew how to deal with since I always used to drugs to push them down and away and now I’m struggling to just deal with things the right way but I feel like all I do is try to deal but still can’t and I am so depressed and just filled with hate for myself and my past and that I just wanna get better at life being sober is great but that’s only one problem so I want to live and be able to be able to live and feel good about it and that I actually could feel good genuinely but just want to be happy and love to live life and your music helps me through these hards time I wrote this while dealing with a really bad dark and sad place I was in and hearing your music just makes me want to believe I’m gonna get through it if other people get through this and worse then i can to eventually

Hey Adrian, keep your head up buddy.. You, me, and give or take about, 264 million other people on earth, also share the heavy burden we call depression... Ofcource there isn't just one ultimate, easy, solution for all of us to climb out of that black hole of depression. That would be too simple 😜 No, most of us do our best to either mask it away on a daily, coexisting with it, or using whatever coping skills we've happened to pick up over the years to beat it.. Unfortunately just like how you described your situation, I too picked up some unhealthy coping methods, like taking copious amounts of drugs for many years. Stupidly i rationalized to myself the lie, that by getting myself "high" i would feel more alive then I did sober. In reality the only thing it did for me, was it'd temporarily numb my depression... Metaphorically speaking "I swept, all the underlying emotional triggers that egged my inner torment to grow, under the rug" until the drugs wore off, as they did those emotions flooded my psyce to the point I couldn't help but justify "using" again. About 2 years ago, I realized this metaphor to hold unimaginable power if properly perceived within ones mind, "idle hands are the devils playground" or rather "idle hands will forever stay idle if left unchecked" My take of that is, by working hard enough everyday, to where you feel even the slightest bit of pride for what you, a single tiny human can create, accomplish, and achieve is enough for the depression inside to seem more and more distant, and pointless as the days go on... Eventually given enough inner pride for who you truly are has been built up, you should be living a decently joyful life nearly free of depressions reach.. still gonna be hard at this point however due to bigger responsibilities and stresses that you will swiftly need new and improoved coping skills to deal with to keep depression at bay.. Life is rough bro.. dont give up, stay strong my friend

Yo just know u are not alone idk what kind of “drugs” you guys are talking about but as far as opiates, H, fent etc. I’m 3 weeks clean off fentanyl today.. I’ve been going to therapy, been medicated etc since I was 15 years old to deal w my depression (29 now) but I can promise one thing dope or alcohol only will make things worse, and if u are talking about dope like H it’s going to hit u really hard at first getting clean but u just have to keep pushing thru past all the pain of WD and then of the PAWS symptoms but u will come out a better person and I believe that
Awesome band
I've been waiting for them to make this song since 2005! Thank you!
