Ed and Oliver are like polar opposites in this song. Oliver appears to be representing darkness and Ed appears to be representing light. They’re both singing about meeting the wrong people in life and regretting it in the end. Oliver expresses his feelings with fury and aggression and Ed expresses them with lamentation and sorrow.

Actually, this isn’t the first time Ed Sheeran sang in a rock genre. He has a song called, “Blow” featuring Christ Stapleton & Bruno Mars that came out in 2019 with a rock genre. Underrated song imo. Because label don't want that . I remember Ed Sheeran interview about him fight with label because folksong like Galway Girl & Nancy Mulligan . Btw Ed Sheeran NO6 Collaboration had Rock Song with Chris Stapleton & Bruno Mars.

Love artists working together outside of their genres. It makes for the best collabs.

I'm bummed there are some differences from the live version (Ollie's growl at 3:30 not being there among a few other things) but I am so happy you guys uploaded this. The live version has been on repeat since I first heard it and I cannot get enough of it. Love everything you guys have been doing

Definitely needed that growl. Most of the rawer Olli vocals are double tracked to cover up his growl sadly.

Love or hate BMTH, this kind of collab is absolutely huge for the metal & rock industry. I've never really been into BMTH until some of their most recent stuff within the last 1-2 years started giving me huge early Linkin Park vibes, who were the first band to get me into heavier music all those years ago. They've been pushing the boundaries with their collabs with YUNGBLUD and now Ed Sheeran and it's great to see as a metal fan. The track has totally transformed with those chunky guitars and Olly's harsher vocals towards the end, Ed's voice really suits this setting ngl. Sure, there is heavier stuff out there, but goes without saying it'd be incredible to see more collaborations like this in the future! 🤘🤘

I have been a Bring Me The Horizon fan since their older songs came out. Yes their music definitely changed but I don’t mind I like their old and new songs. But this is pretty awesome. It seems Bring Me The Horizon is collaborating with so many people now. Kingslayer with baby metal is a total smasher hit.

This makes me want to pull out all my punk goes pop, crunk, etc. albums. BMTH has never disappointed me and will forever be my favorite band

I like how BMTH improved this song , with a little crisp of heaviness tunes from Matt’s drums, Matt’s bass and Lee’s guitar and Jordan’s magic! And of course Oli’s voice gave a kick to it.

honestly this is the best collab ive heard in a long time and honestly both artist and band should be proud of how well this turned out definitely will be my jam for 2022

Ed Sheeran, more of this please? 10/10, screaming vocals as backing, electric guitar....please use this as a stepping stone into a slightly more metal world. I have said for years you would be great for it, even just as a writer. But this proves it to me that you can do it.

I swear Ed sheeran gets along with everyone. This is a great version.

Never thought I’d be so addicted to a collab. Such an unusual one but my god I love it. Ive been a fan of bmth for the longest time anew sheerà for a long tim so this is everything

I always felt Ed Sheeran should've sung rock songs. He's got that aggressive rasp in his voice that begs to be in one.

Softened the song right up from the live, where's the random growls and long growl at the end seems like they got rid of the everything what made the live version soo cool ;(

If never been an Ed Sheeran fan to be honest, but this is amazing. Not just the track itself but the fact that someone with the influence of Mr. Sheeran even considering to collaborate with a metalcore band is stunning. I wasn't even hoping to hear some heavy singing so the end blew my mind. Also props to the management for letting it happen. Friggin dope!!

Guys, I was mildly impressed by the original but this version is by far the best masterpiece of our generation
