I lived 24/7 skating @ this time and Tony Hawk is 100% correct about Jeremy Kleinbeing a legend already... That Summer B4 he joined birdhouse 4 outta every 10 decks we're Klein WorldIndustries. The deck with the little kid on it. There we're two different ones. One with the black eye n the kid & the other one w/ same kid..Veggie came after I think.. ~The dude was the best of the old guard before the Prod/Switch skate culture change. Dude is dead on when he pointed to 'RubbushHeap'. You can tell He & his BFF Ron Chatman we really good at tricks&styles we only just heard of.. ~Doing tre flips into stuff was on just getting explored in suburbias and sketchy af.. but sketch was acceptable as long as we rode away..Not Until SloMo backside kicklips did style come into it. ironic this was around the LoveChild ChicoBrenes/Jovante summer. ~When I got back into skating about 7 years ago after 20 years not skating Jeremy Klein & Pat Duffy &WillySantos were the 1st dudes I looked up.. If Jeremy reads this then know that myself and all my oldschool skate crew(now 43'ish) all have mad respect for how ahead of the curve you're shit was..How much we all so looked forward to Jeremy&RonChatman pranks on other skaters, and most of all the focused control of all the kickflip/tre flips variations when all Suburbia in every state was just learning tre flips, Klein was doing them every which way and into other tricks..something that didn't become popular for over a year, 1.5 years later.. that's the most underrated thing in Classic video parts is The young skater watching doesn't realize if that trick was brand new or never seen at the time...Like GuyMarianos nose blunt slide in VideoDays..That was groundbreaking because nobody & I mean nobody was doing them 'nose' and forget about backside. nothing but respect for the heroes of my gen..
