Nice video. Hawaiian Airlines has a nice touch. I like how they point out places of interest during flight. This is also one of the very rare flight videos that doesn't have loud adults and screaming/fussing children in the background.

I simply CAN'T WAIT for my 2 week bucket list trip to Honolulu...!!! I'll be flying on this airline Hawaiian airlines from Boston nonstop to Honolulu on there A330-200 in business class. I hear Hawaiian is an excellent airline to fly on. And from what the captain provided via the little tour to the passengers while on approach. Was a VERY VERY nice touch you just don't get that very often today. So props to Hawaiian for doing that. I hope i get it on my flight.

Taken 5 round trips on Hawaiian (flights 51/50)... love them!! It's like you are already on vacation the moment you step on at JFK, the Hawaiian music is already playing and you are always hearing ALOHA and MAHALO throughout the 10.5 hrs!!! Looking forward to my 6th trip soon!

I've been to Oahu twice and Maui three times. The last time I went is when I was 12 years old. I'm 35 and I really want to go back with my kids. And let them experience it.

My wife and I used to live just makai of Punchbowl visible at 3:24. Now in TN too crowded noisy and expensive there, but miss the weather and friendly people.

Wonderful video. I take Hawaiian's JFK flight a few times each year, and it's always nice to finally see Oahu out the window after such a long flight and know we are that close and that I'll be able to get off the plane and walk around soon.

I’m from western Canada and retired to Hawaii after living 11 years in California. We love it here. Been almost 10 years now.

Wow! Great video! I liked the very detailed announcement the woman gave after landing.

Booked it as soon as it was announced what, 8 years ago already..flight Hawaii five o...and flight 51 back! Awesome. Going back in the fall.

Wow! Best video of landing in Honolulu that I've seen in a long time. Well done! Maika'i! I'm glad that your approach path did not take you over my house in East O'ahu. Depending on weather and landing traffic, sometimes we get our ears blasted. I can't complain because people living in 'Ewa have it far worse. Your video reminded me of how sometimes I tear up with the approach, even if my trip to America to visit friends and relatives was fun and joyful. It's always good to come home. I hope to view more of your videos. Aloha!

Its been three years since I last flew to Hawaii. Toured Maui, Kauai, and Island of Hawai’i, but not Oahu despite six years ago, I used Honolulu as my layover.

Honolulu is worth a trip if you have time. It has nice beaches, city life, museums shops and eateries. I will definitely go back when things get better.

I fly to Oahu out of LAX so this is a completely different view. Never flown directly over the island of Oahu like this. Beautiful video!

Most approaches into HNL are exactly the same. Since the winds at HNL are usually from the east/northeast, airplanes use a right-hand traffic pattern and circle around from the south for a landing on 8R.

@@sean2015 No, but I have been to HNL enough times to determine that. My grandpa was an ATC at Hickam, and my aunt used to be a lead agent for Hawaiian at HNL.

9'57...thats a rifle range...I was flying over it a bout 10 days ago, and there where about 50 men down there. Must have been a competition shoot.

Open your window shades please... Can say I’ve never heard that announcement before. Here in PHX, it’s always “close your window shades please” upon landing.

Can't say one way or t'other about the Filipino angle, but the FA's accent sounds, to me, like the background accent of O'ahu locals, up to and including HNN newscasters. I hear that accent and I know I'm listening to someone from O'ahu, at the very least. :)

I was able to find out some info for you. The aircraft in the video was N370HA, which first flew on March 4th, 2014. So at the time of this video, the aircraft was about 4.5 years old.
