Last minute trip to Kaua'i to surprise my mom. Beautiful day for flying. Even Mt. Rainier was visible during takeoff. It was a smooth flight for the most part, except for the usual bumps over the Pacific. The approach into Kahului was bumpy as usual, but it wasn't as bad as the previous week thankfully.

I agree. Hawaii will always be home no matter where I live.

Awesome video! I flew Pau Ahi when she was 29 days out of the factory!
Beautiful sturdy A330 takeoff from SeaTac. Notice the usual lineup of Alaska planes behind...
Hopefully Hawaiian is back up to full steam by September so me and my family are able to make the trip from Phoenix
I really miss flying out of the PNW for Honolulu! Especially on clear days like this!

Thank you!
Such a freaking cool sound
It’s really cool to see that I would be on this flight three months and one day later. I was unfortunate to get seated in the middle, or 15G in economy premium
I could barely see where I used to live just north of Kent, but I now live east of the Cascades.

Why is it tilting so much after takeoff? Ive never flown...

That’s because it has a very high climb rate like most airbus airplanes.
geez part of that safety video sound so dramatic lol
Do you know what mountain that is @ 9:12 ?
