the energy in this video feels so YOU! I'm so excited to be connecting with you again. everything you shared about being in survival mode, I completely relate to. I'm really interested in hearing more about that journey and how you've been navigating self regulation. I'm definitely in need of some advice!

The big island is my number one favorite place to be. While I was visiting, I felt such an unreal energy that I quit my horrible job and found a new better one within the same day, all while sitting in the ocean feeling the hug of the beautiful island! 🏝️

You look happy Alyse, nature is such a wonderful healer! Working in psychiatry, I'd say many people are operating with a nervous system caught in flight or fight without really understanding how that is dictating much of their behaviour. Self awareness is key in bringing us back into our body.

Love this. I've realized that even though I feel "behind" it's more that my progress is slow & steady & that while the hyper successful are glorified, we don't often see the side effects of their grind & wealth (burn out, relationship strain, endless "next" etc)

Great to see you, Alyse! I've been here since the BEGINNING! :) On a VERY similar journey. Vegan - van life - moving - learning - getting a dog - meeting my current partner - starting a business - leaving that business - health/gut/skin journey. It's wild how it seems that every time I see a video of yours, it just connects so well with what's been going on in my own life or thought patterns I've had / am having. Totally connect with learning to self-regulate and move out of my conditioned patterns at the moment. Sending you hugs!

Im the same as you, hawaii feels like home to me. Being in places where nature is bigger than me, like nature is just in a constant hug around me - is so healing and comforting. It really helps our bodies stay regulated. Out society promotes a sense of urgency heavily. i worked in food establishments for years and having a sense of urgency is heavily promoted there. You can go onto job boards, even today - and part of the job posting specifically says 'needs to have a sense of urgency'. Which pretty much means you need to have low grade ( if not high grade ) survival mode turned on as if there is always a threat and you need to be prepared for it. It prevents people from being relaxed, peaceful, and feeling safe. All because the business wants a quicker turn around and higher profit. Certainly not a win win deal.

Exactly! Many job ads say "must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment." Multi-tasking is just switching your attention from one thing to another, and another, and another... increasing not only the chance of burnout, but the chance that many tasks will actually be performed poorly and less efficiently than they would be if a person were allowed/able to spend more time on a task before having their focus interrupted and switched to something else. There are studies about this.

I felt that! thats the real version of people that I like. We have various operations modes, one of them is like an autopilot. We are a fish navigating in an ocean and we have to survive with in that ocean and find are true self. Know ourselves. Its ok to sometimes feel 0 spirituality and sometimes 100% at the end everything is perfect and beautiful it always was. Basically that is what we need to understand.

  • @its.maxday

Hey, I just spotted your comment and wanted to respond. I'm autistic and recently started my channel. I make lifestyle content where I share vlogs about life as an autistic person, chat about my perspectives and the lessons I've learned ☺️ I must also say (because alyse was talking about nervous system regulation in this vid), that being autistic means we have a different neurology, so our nervous systems operate differently! So keep that in mind when learning about that stuff 😄 the autistic nervous system is much more sensitive and can be affected by different things from the neurotypical nervous system (it's different for everyone but autistic folks especially). Hope that is helpful! 💖🌻

I want to share in regards to you creating or taking responsibility for whole wide world because you shared from s disregulated place is not really your responsibility to take on for whole wide world or people you were influencing. Yes, you can take responsilibity for your life, what do you want to create and may be how you wante dto show up. But blaming people or say who are disregulated and operating in world that way, blaming them to be creating more of this disregulation in the world is not okay. Sorry that what i firmly beleive. It is collective consiousness not just a state of operation. YOu cannot say why the dog that is scared is acting certain way, or why does wild dog in wild act certain way, ofcorse it is to fend and protect and nervous system is wired for survival. Yes. And it is not the state really meaning the expression or being to say this is creating more, no. It is the collective consiousness, a programming, and may be some folks in the top trying to also control people to stay in survival meaning them earning and having this matrix operate certain way, ofcorse we have free will and will to say no ; yet we are social being, and we like to belong, and its not to take responsibility for whole wide world for people who are disregulated, or operating in that way. Its like effect is not what you say is the cause. The cause is lifestyle and ofcorse there is certain programming about who you need to be to be loved and collective way of operating for survival. SO dont blame or say people who are operating in survival is cause of this state more, no. It is the effect, and always not to blame it, or judge it. Its to compassionately hold spce and not judge these parts that is operating in certain level. And all i want to point out is that you dont do it for world, you do it because you want to do it for yourself, you wnat to feel regulated and operate that way. Its not because you have obligation or responsibility to do it for world. And that is just a programming also about who you need to be or operate and save world to feel good about yourself. SOrry didnt mean to m=be mean, but its just not okay say I am operating in dysregulation meaning I am operating in survival at times, and that is not causing world to be operating in survival rather world oerating that way influences all of us to kind of act certain yet. Yet there is rather understanding and knowing that it is a state people are operating for survival or matrix or conditional belonging, yet not judging or blaming any of these patterns or parts. Because it is by holding space to these parts and loving them where they are at, you can actually integrate these parts to be okay with how they are meaning if a part is feeling scared you hold space and love for it. It is just the way you put it in the video and previous video or i think email, that it is cretaingproblem or so or causing more dysregulation. No its not the truth. Your state of acting (not being again), acting does influence people, and you are mentioning a pattern of over doing or doing and producing, yes it may influence others to operate, but not the dysregilation itself is causing that pattern to be more in world; it is an action or influence of you producing may be influence otehrs to be like you. yet dysregulation is a nervoud system operation, and not an action. The pattern may be you are talkign about is trying to acheive to gain some ackownlegdement yah even that , is an effect. So, not to blame any thing for world's problem,. Or peopel who are is dysregulation contributing to creating more dysregulation or some work you used in email (which i felt triggered to) yet, understanding your needs, and loving yourself where you are. It is only by embracing all parts of you you can be whole, not by thinkign i gotts do this for whole wide world and its my responsibility. You do it because you wnat that for yourself, and that responsibility to me or blame to me, because we are part of collective operating certain way which our body is naturally doing to survuve has nothign to do with creating more dysregulation. I just want the motivation to come from impacting my or your own life not to take responsibility for what you are doign to world. Its thier responsibility. May be some patterns here of takign responsibility for others, but takign responsibility for world no non. its not my responsibilty and not to put blame of a person. It scollective way of operation. And only free will of person and not by blaming contributing to this and that; yet understanding that person as a whole and meeting its needs, survival needs, in a way you want to; In a way YOU want to not for them. That is my take. I dont want to hear its some one responsibity or is causing this to happen no. Thanks. I watch your video all the time, and respect but this one I say NO. How tough it is to take whole world problem in your shoulder, its not regulating for sure. Sorry. Its blaming and negative reinforcement, rather than choice, what you want to do for you. Forget about others. When you help you, you help others because yu are representation of you, and you share it with others. not in resposibility way because you want to share. Thats how i operate and i my whole take on it.
