For sure. I didn't watch any of the game since it was on so late here. But I'm just going to assume it's a bowl game, so the refs just didn't really care too much. Take that play away and make it 4th down, I still think ccu wins.

ESPN's highlights suck because they cut out so much.

Wow ... turnovers ... missed chip-shot field goals. Coastal Carolina did exactly the right thing: Waited for SJSU to implode.

Sad that they are playing a bowl game at a community park field. They need a real replacement if they want to host a bowl game. The camera angles were worse than High School games.

Maybe best TD catch but definitely not the best catch. I forgot what bowl game it was. But there was one where a player made a one handed catch either up high or behind his back on the run. Maybe, someone else remembers.

Coastal Carolina played the dirtiest game against BYU I have ever seen televised. The officials must have been relatives. In one televised play two defensive players punched and kicked Zack Wilson over and over and over after he released the ball. The officials just ignored it.

It was a REALLY bad time to schedule it. RIGHT before Christmas when people are traveling to be with family they stick two teams (one of them from the other side of North America) in this bowl thousands of miles away. The Hawaii Bowl should be either the first bowl or one of the last bowls played of the season. That way crowds would be bigger and it would be less stressful for all involved.

@@SRW_ It's often been a good bowl for medium quality teams (often 8-9 win squads) and IIRC it's pretty popular with players because it's one of the most exotic destinations apart from the Bahamas Bowl. The teams were a bit lower quality than usual this year, but the scheduling as I said was awful as well, so the game's attendance and ratings suffered doubly.

Soon there will be a bowl where every college team will play in. Even teams with 0-12 records will go to bowl games and celebrate. Equivalent to certificate of participation

I love bowl season. True football lovers watch to see other teams' athletes, styles, etc., no matter who they are. This was an OK game to watch. Lots of late/unnecessary hits near sidelines or out of bounds by SJS.

Coastal Carolina pinned them down on Defense tho. San Jose st had some playmakers on offense to with their quarterback and a few running backs. Good job to the special teams for Coastal Carolina as well.
