I have redmi note 10 pro (not max) and 64 does work like the stock miui cam. It should be similar on pro Max (108mp cam) as well. Video recording is similar to default miui cam.

Hey, thanks so much for the sub! I was checking the official havoc os page and this phone is not officially supported. But some articles have mentioned flashing havoc os in this device. I think your phone has a mediatek processor, and I have never used a mediatek powered phone, I think I won't be of that much help. Thanks for the feedback, I did an indepth research about MTK devices and found out MTK powered devices are very hard to install custom roms and kernels. Flashing may also result to brick but I've already passed that lol. Its probably high time I switch to Snapdragon (I guess it tends to be one of the best out there) or do you suggest a different Chip? And what other Processors have low heating as my MTK Helio G90 always get hot as hell once in a game for more than 15mins.

You are right, flashing a custom ROM in mediatek powered devices is a bit hard. G90 is comparable to snapdragon 720 and they are midrange processors and they tend to heat with gaming. Latest dimensity processors from mediatek are better with gaming but in general, games are much more optimized for snapdragon processors. If you can get atleast a snapdragon 778 phone, that would be better overall (gaming will be good plus flashing a custom ROM will be easier) or if you have a higher budget, then snapdragon 800 series is always better..

I installed this rom and then I encountered the problem of settings crashing, it did not improve in any way and I switched to a different rom. Can you recommend me a stable rom?

Which recovery did you use to flash? Havoc os is a very stable rom and you should not have faced that issue.

can you help me install the rom? i only know how to install using adb sideload and don't know what recovery should i flash. And may I ask if what version of havoc os did you install, because I found a havoc os review on KZread that has no anx camera, thank you in advance!

I am using redmi note 10 pro (not max) and right now Android 13 custom ROMs are good but might be missing some features. Android 12 custom ROMs like Elixir, cherish and zephyrus are good and mostly stable. If you are interested in Android 11, try Havoc os, it's great!

Thanks for the video. What ROM do you recommend for Redmi 8? Also can I back up my current MIUI OS so I can reinstall it later?

Thank you. I believe havoc os should be a good option for Redmi 8. You can start with that then move to any other custom ROM. You can backup your device data and all, but since you will be flashing a new OS, you might need to download the proper flashable MIUI ROM for your device so that you can flash it later.

Most of the android 12 and 13 custom roms are good with the performance. You can try project elixir, i recently made a video about it and it is smooth.

does this rom improve camera quality? like.. the stock miui 13 camera app gives soft images in dark conditions, which looks awful..

It won't improve the camera quality, it's the same camera as you get with miui. The default camera performs better only in some situations, for night shots, you might need gcam.

Initially i was getting very less screen on time, i don't know why. I used to charge my phone 2 times a day. And the idle battery drain was absolutely terrible, it used to drain like 20% during the night. But with time, it did improve quite a bit.

I need my battery to last all day to respond to calls, emails and WhatsApp messages. From 6am to around 5pm.

I am currently using project elixir 2.1 on redmi note 10 pro from last 35 hours. Battery is awesome but I am very much afraid about battery backup in upcoming days. I have tried cherish os, pixel os and then this rom earlier, after 2-3 days battery starts draining very very fast, please help me, I don't want to go back to miui.

The method will be same like any other custom ROM. Unlock the bootloader, flash any custom recovery (probably twrp), flash the ROM. I have made a video on twrp installation on my channel, you can watch that, it might be helpful.

No i don't think there should be any issues. I myself flashed many custom ROMs with MIUI 13. You should be good to go..

Hi. You can install the same ROM in your note 10 pro Max. And If you are flashing this ROM in note 10 pro Max, you should get 108mp camera. 64mp is just for note 10 pro.

That should not happen normally, please make sure you wipe the data before installation (clean flash) and use the most compatible recovery (probably the latest version)
