Hello TechDoc, I'm reaching out to seek your advice on finding a custom ROM that offers built-in support for VPN hotspot functionality. I understand that achieving this can typically be done by rooting an Android device, but I'm specifically interested in a custom ROM that includes this feature along with a VPN kill switch, and most importantly, doesn't automatically switch to a mobile connection if the VPN connection drops. I've heard that Havoc-OS provides this feature, but I'm uncertain about whether Lineage or Calyx OS offer similar capabilities. I'm thinking about buying a new 5G Android device that I plan to use primarily as a VPN hotspot. Could you please recommend a good Android smartphone, as well as a custom ROM that reliably supports this feature? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hi, can anyone tell me how's the battery performance?

I actually unlocked the bootloader and end up flashing Pixel Experience. Your videos helped a lot. Just wanted a little help, I'm facing Screen Flickering issues on Pixel Experience, I have set min & Max refresh rate to 120hrtz and also i'm keeping brightness to almost 50% all the time i.e. I do not lower brightness but still I'm having screen flickering issues. If you see this comment, then please share your opinion on this. Like is there any solution or I have to flash any other custom rom. and yeah one more thing, how do you back-up your data while switching to a new custom rom. it's really painful for me 🥲

Sorry for the late response, i was having a family emergency. I have seen that some of the users face this screen flickering issue and it's mostly because of 120hz refresh rate, i would recommend keeping it to 60hz and see if it might work. Now backing up a custom rom can be done by different ways, i usually keep everything in my sd card, so i don't have to worry about data loss (photos, videos, contacts, etc.). Whatsapp chats can be backed up normally, i use sms backup and restore from microsoft (sms organizer) and it helps a lot, if you want to backup apk files to save internet, you can use an app called app manager (it's an opensource app and let me know if you need the link). You can also perform dirty flash if you are switching between different roms (not formatting the data while flashing, just clear cache) but you need to check if the rom supports dirty flash (from their official website or visit xda forum) I myself do like this, but you can also check Nandroid backup (i have never tried this). Hope this helps😊

love ur video bro. I have experience with ROM flashing on LG phones, and I've done it many times, but I haven't tried it on Xiaomi phones. As for the reputation of Xiaomi phones, for some reason, they tend to randomly die or end up in a bootloop during software updates, for example ( Redmi 10C, Poco X3 Pro, Poco M3, etc. I have personally witnessed this issue.) I have a Redmi Note 10 Pro, so should I take the risk of ROM flashing on my device or is it completely safe? Because if it gets bricked for some reason, I'll be in trouble.

Hey bro! I don't think you will have any trouble flashing a rom on redmi note 10 pro, it's definitely one of the top phones when it comes to custom roms and there are tons of tutorials available on youtube. Steps are very easy actually..

Most devices with mediatek processors don't have a great custom rom support and it seems that redmi 12c does not have any support right now. I did find some resources but not that useful, you might need to wait for some time! Right now, my suggestion would be to debloat your phone as much as possible and wait for any official custom rom...

Please help!!! i have used a pixel experience rom on my redmi note 10 and got back to stock rom and locked my bootloader again but I want to go to custom rom again but while trying to install with official way of pixel experience that is with there own recovery my pc shows successful but at recovery page there is no recovery shown what can i do should i try orange fox recovery or there is some problem ???? Please help me

Sorry for not responding earlier.. but you can try the latest pixelos + Lawnchair launcher Pixelos does not have the hide app feature but if you use Lawnchair, it'll give you that feature plus some decent customisation..

Try spark os version 13.5.5 (I did not try the latest version but 13.5.5 had the best battery backup and performance).

It's safe on most custom roms, but if you are worried about banking apps, don't use it..

After flashing this rom i found that This rom is very smooth and functions properly 😊, but here is an issue😢 while casting to wireless displays, smartphone starts flickering. If you faced the same please make any solution. Thanks.

Yes i tried it just now and there's an issue with screen flickering while casting, try to turn off smooth display under display settings, that might help..
