    I bought it as an early adopter when there were few reviews out for it. They may have improved consistency on machine quality since then but mine has been a nightmare. I'm a little envious of the people that have a perfect time or only need to make minor adjustments. If everyone was having a bed time they might have done a recall or something but now I'm fighting them on a warranty claim as they try to give me band aid solutions. But at least you're having a good time, especially for a beginner. Though be aware that some people have had problems arise after a month or so of perfect use, so just be ready for that possibility too.

    @@Bowsmin12I'd just like to comment I bought one yesterday, and I'm arguably getting worse adhesion issues. I have pla EMBEDDED in the surface and prints that were next to impossible to get off, even leaving a micro layer that has stained and is impossible to remove without literally scraping away at the surface. My first thought was what everyone is gonna jump to 'nozel too close" and let me confirm to you that it's not - many tests on that even though I felt that wasn't the issue here. I'm about 3/4 of the way through the exact same process you went through (minus messaging Creality to avoid the exact frustration you went through, personally I just have a gripe with customer service in general). I'm still troubleshooting, like I said it's been literally 24 hours since purchasing this, but it's been nothing but bed problems. The prints have all turned out rather incredibly, except I cannot get it off my plate and it's leaving a thin sheet behind it that is practically stuck to the bed

    I just got my ender 3 v3 se week ago now, probably have 48+ hours on it printing time, and I have a pretty good grasp of how 3d printing works, but I'm still extremely new. I've seen a lot of people having problems with bed adhesion, but I only find that when I'm printing in a very thin first intial layer thickness like 0 .10 so I bumped mine up to point 0.30 and boom never fked with it again, i also keep my bed temp at 45c and im using PLA right now so bout 200c for nuzzle temp

    You're not alone. I'm fighting the same problem. Even down to the back right corner lift. I've had some success with increasing print speed and flow rate. However, with each print the Z offset has to be readjust and this results in at least 2 or 3 failed prints. It's a huge pain in the ass...

    I was having the same issue and it seems like the bracket that holds the standoffs and screws may have seen some unintended pressure inside the box during whatever shipping it went through. Ended up just reading the z axis values it gave and would take pliers to the corners with the standoffs and screws and slightly bending them. After releveling about 6 times with minor bending adjustments to the brackets the bed is now all green and i just finished a 6 hour xun flute print lol.

    I received my Ender 3 v3 SE two days ago. Its my first filament printer. Printed the provided example with the sample PLA just fine. Then loaded some local PLA . Could not print that crap to save my life. Either no adhesion, or if I get adhesion by jacking up temp then the print has major defects etc. After a day, I changed to using Orca which gave me tools to calibrate with. Bed temps, extrusion temps, flow rate etc. Now I print just fine. The flow rates were the most critical. First layer extrusion temperature and bed temperature determined adhesion. I now have it set that it comes off quite easily. Just take the plate off and wait to cool before removing it. No hairspray and shit. I am on firmware 1.0.4 and I see 1.0.6 is available. But I will use a RPi and go Klipper rather. The Ender 3 V3 SE was my learning machine. I will play and learn and next build my own now that I am seeing what works etc. Orca certainly produces better slicing and supports etc. If I take the same stl, the Creality slicer does mot do the same job as the Orca slicer does. As a beginner I wanted to avoid diving into the millions of parameters you have to deal with in Orca, but now I am a believer.

    auto calibration is done when the print bed is at 65 degrees celsius, with the standard settings in Creality Slicer when you print the bed temperature is 45 degrees celsius. the difference between 65 degrees Celsius and 45 can lead to the bed curve effect. The easiest solution for me was to print at 65 degrees calsius and adjust the z-offset with -0.01 - 3

    Sorry you're having issues with your V3 SE. I've got the same printer (my first) and I've had fair success so far (fingers crossed). I also had issues with the bed being level, but tracked it down to loose screws which hold the heat bed to the undercarriage (the four Phillip's head screws under the build plate). I've read where a lot of people have found other screws which have not been properly tightened. You've probably checked them all, but thought I would throw it out there. I DO have an issue with the heat break fan.... When it first comes on, it howls like crazy, like there's no lube in it. Creality is shipping me a new one, not sure how long that may take. You say there is an Official Creality Bed Leveling Test? Where? I'm already looking at something better. Hope you get all your issues resolved!

I bought their CR touch kit to put on my Ender 3 V2 and put their firmware in the printer and it never worked right. Then I installed a third party firmware and it was night and day for my auto bed leveling.

    I just adjusted z offset with my eyeballs and measured the first layer till i got .2 .... probably not the best way but its working for me. After a while doing the auto bed leveling with this printer it decided the z offset is like 2 cm away from the buildplate so i just set it back to -2.45 with my pei sheet. And whatever you do never hit pause with this printer at least for me it will skip the entire layer it was recently printing and move on to the next one and will ruin your print. Hopefully a firmware update fixes these issues but they haven't updated it since October

    That's good to hear that I'm helping. The 3D printing content has cause most of the small channel success I've had over the past months to year. But unfortunately other than this troubleshooting journey, I don't have a whole lot of knowledge to pass on to people or really innovate things. I got lucky with my bambu lab P1P purge video. I just wanted to save on filament, so I went to the customer support and they told me how. I then just relayed that in a video because it seemed like the only other place I had seen anything about it was on a single reddit post and it was kind of hard to understand and in broken up bits of information. I'm not quite sure how to grow a 3D printing channel if you're not making new discoveries. On top of that, I like 3D printing and what it can do for me, but I do find it insanely frustrating a lot of the time. It's a great tool when it works, but sometimes all the components and programs around 3d printing want to fight me and I don't always have the resources to fix them outright. At least not right now. I would love to work with companies to make videos with them but I'm too small typically for them to be statistically impressed. I'm really interested in the Elegoo Neptune printers but I just can't afford much of anything let alone be able to afford more printers for reviews and projects. That's enough rambling from me. Thank you for reading and your support. If you would like to help, I don't know if it would, but you could try recommending my channel to companies and see if they would reach out on their own. If you have some other people do it too, it may be more likely to succeed. It's a small chance but it might work.

    And in my case, the print plate heating went wonky within a day and 4 small prints. At the 4th print and after, the temperature of the print bed would start dropping as soon as it started moving and printing, resulting in spagetti. The nozzle was not clogged. Changing filament did not help. I repeated auto levelling 3 times, the results always the same, spagetti. It was then I noticed on the screen, the temps dropping during print, and occasionally climbing. Clearly a loose connection in the heating element of the bed. Being 2 days old, I returned it to Amazon. No way am I going to go through what you did on a new machine.

    Yeah, it's wild. I've had issues with every printer that I've owned that haven't been truly "fixed". Ender 3 V3 has the auto leveling issue. Ender 3 V2 has a similar issue to yours but to a lesser extent; when I set the temperature to anything higher than 60C, the printer will set the temp back down to 60 when the print actually starts. And the P1P, the printer doesn't have ant issues yet. But the slicer messes up my pick models shown in this video. They say their slicer is "Too accurate." Hopefully they will eventually fix the auto leveling for the V3 in future firmware updates or something.

  • @Bowsmin12

    @Bowsmin12

    7 ай бұрын

    I have never had a glass bed. From my understanding they are usually too smooth and you have to use hairspray or glue, which is something I'm trying to avoid when possible. And in this circumstance it should be. And I have no idea what I'm doing if I were to mess with the code, but even if I did, I it would probably mess with the display and glitch that out somehow since it's supposed to only have the 4x4. It should have been a feature to change the grid size in the first place anyway. I don't know if it's just me, but it's more logical to get as fine of a mesh as possible, especially when your printer solely relies on it. It would have helped if the probing was more centered too, it's slightly off. Even compared to the official Creality bed test print.

    Okay well I did start making videos about the printer toward the beginning of when they were coming out. Only a few came out at the time this did. As well as I moved quickly to my G10 plate anyway because I needed a smooth bottom surface for the project I specifically bought this printer for. This causes it to have poor adhesion rather than over adhesion. This was shown in the video. I also have another video exploring physical fixes, which didn't help my situation, but I have discovered other issues that I am working on fixing.

    @@MattysWorldOfArt It's kind of all over the place and I'm hoping that's because of the issue I found. Which is that my print head was tilted and my leveling probe bracket was tilted compared to the head itself. So probably lots of tolerances off in that instance. I have received some spare parts from creality and it still isn't proper. My last hope is that I can fix it by switching the V wheels, but the stock wheels don't look worn really. Unfortunately I don't have any spare wheels, I've surprisingly never had to change them on any of the few printers I have.

I've heard that with some of the newer firmware you can manually level the bed with the paper method, but my printer won't update the firmware properly, glitches, and has a couple languages laid over top of each other when I try! Well for now I personally use a G10 plate. I bought it originally for the V2 and transferred it over. It's the same concept as glass, though it may be more bendy. But unlike glass it has an extremely minor texturing and other properties to help with print adhesion, At least when it comes to more basic materials like PLA and PETG. I have never actually used a bare glass bed before. The V2 came with a glass bed with some sort of texturing, but if I used it, it wasn't for very long. I quickly switched to the flexible build plates for better or for worse. The only problem I have with glass is that I 99% of the time, always requires some sort of adhesive or additive to get proper print stick. I like to make things as simple as possible so I prefer to stay away from requirements like that. But it's all in preference and what you need as the creator. It's typically good to have multiple beds to interchange, but with this printer that may be difficult if you happen to have bed leveling issues.

    But TLDR, you need to manually adjust the z-offset; the auto-z-offset adjustment does not affect the value we see on Prepare. Then after that do the bed leveling and remember to use M420 S1 after G28. It's only using this command that the printer uses the leveling data. Otherwise it just prints assuming a (physically) perfectly leveled bed.

Then there is the extreme option of doing the big test print and adjusting the level data to make it proper. But it is a good idea to try to get a good Z offset before doing the manual leveling process. Hope this helps.

    The way I see it, this actually has a few flaws, especially for this machine. After watching CHEP's video about his design, he uses his while using the leveling screws on the bed. This printer doesn't have those and rely purely on auto leveling other than manually inputting data. So he was only using that tool on the four corners, but logically you would have to use it on all data points on the bed for this machine. At least personally I would to fix my problem. So the next problem is that even if I did just do the four corners, there is no live adjustment on this printer except for movement and z offset. And the final flaw I see is that if the bed is imperfected in different ways throughout the bed, wouldn't setting the device on one part of the bed to measure the exact spot of another throw off the data? If the spot you put the base of the device on is higher than the measurement spot, wouldn't the data be higher than it's supposed to be? Either way Creality should have had this figured out in the first place. Complete auto leveling is their first selling point on most of their sales material and half of the units don't work for various reasons. And instead of addressing these issues they just keep pumping out new models of printers. They used to be doing people a service giving them an affordable option to get into 3D printing but it seems they're getting just plain sleezy.

  • @Bowsmin12

    @Bowsmin12

    8 ай бұрын

    With small and thin prints, they stick too well to the plate and flex with it. And even if they are taller, prints that don't cover much surface area don't come off easy even with the flexing. With beds like the stock creality bed, I find myself doing more damage to the bed trying to bend it to get things off. Simply because I don't like to print overly big things most of the time. Some more rigid metal flex beds work better because they allow for deadhesion but are rigid enough to bounce back and of course not get kinks or wrinkles in the surface from bending, but those usually suffer from the same issue when it comes to small parts. And my G10 plate doesn't bend, it's essentially a better glass plate. Typically bending the plate has not worked in my experience.

    I don't personally own a NEO, just a normal V2. But to me, right now the NEO looks like the better option. The only advantage the V3 has right now is that it has the direct drive system, so if you think you would like to print with bendy flexibles, then you might want to still go with the V3 and hope they fix it. That being said I have gotten the V3 to do a fair number decent prints now, but it was after tedious printed manual leveling. And if you want to print with flexibles, but they don't need to be really squishy and bendy. Most TPUs on amazon have a hardness of 95A I think, and people have said that stuff prints fine on an average Ender printer. (like the V2 NEO) You will probably be able to find parts and find good third party firmware for the NEO as well if you desired. I also kinda miss the little drawer, just a nice convenience for little bits specifically for that printer. You however will need to manually level the corners in the stock V2 NEO Printer. There are some things you can do to work around this but out of the box, that's the way it has to be. I hope this is helpful and thank you for watching.

    @@Bowsmin12 same here but you can get coupons I just got 2 cans basically free, the CS app sends me $2 or $4 coupons and I just use those not much else you can really get there anyway that is not way overpriced i figured tha was the best thing , I got some other stuff too but I fguress that wasa good choice, it seems like it would last a long time bu twho knows I never used it before, and yes i was speaking stricktly about PLA I got the v2 neo last BF but never had time to set it up and we had horrible humidty here so I was not wanting to stat my 3d printing journey and have wet filament problems into the mix, as your video clearly illistrated there are already WAAAAY to many variable already. I just picked up the end 3 V3 SE last week, it was ont sale at microcenter for 159 and I got a submmit a build coupn for $25 off if you are lucky enough tio live near one all you need to do is make a list of compatible PC parts and upload some pics of a PC with the same specs and they send you a $25 off coupon no min purchase. I hope I have better luck with my V3 Se than you but I am not really going to be doing anything that I will need to have the first layer that is against thebed to be perfect, so have you tried his same guitar pick print on your V2 and did yet get better results?

    I regret buying my one. It’s just problem after problem. After all the promises of it being easy to use isn’t true. I’ve gone back to my ender 3 v2 Neo with klipper and mods 100% better

    @@Bowsmin12 To me it looks like they are just trying to bring machines out similar to competitors just undercutting in price. Starting with the Neo they are making it hard to customise the machines with the cost cutting. I own a couple Enders and a halot mage resin printer. Every machine out of the box has had to be modded and I am just tired of it. The experience of 3d printing is sullied by all the corners cut by Creality. Every machine I own I have had to get Creality to send me replacement parts for stock item broke from the box. When speaking to creality they really don’t care and you feel you have to prove your problem to them they won’t take your word for it. Also I noticed they respond a lot better and quick if you buy the machines from them directly. The machines I own from them straight away a response but bought third party they are slow to react and treat you like you stole the machine and they don’t really want to help.

    @@theaftermathshow6595 Indeed. It seems like a lot of their processes are very corporate. I know when I got my ender 3 V2, it lasted a few months then I had the same experience you seem to be having. One thing would break after another. Eventually I got it running so it wouldn't fail regularly but still, if I use it today there are still minor imperfections in most prints. Of course they might be able to be tuned out, but then you have to go through the pain and time of identifying then testing to see if you fixed whatever it was. I also get what you're saying about the support. It was painful just trying to get them to tell me if there's a way to make the auto bed level grid bigger and I don't think they even ever gave me a direct answer. I think at some point I ended up telling them they needed the feature and they said something along the lines of "We'll forward this reccomendation to our development team." I partially hate when companies do that because you never really know if they do it or if it's ever going to be seen by anyone who would do something about adding the needed feature.
