I'm so sorry. My dad had this but would not discuss it. I'm glad you're talking about it.

It can be hard to discuss, and I have been told by people I know they understand my schizophrenia much more since I have started putting these videos up. Thank you for the comment

My 26 year old son has schizophrenia. He won’t admit he has a problem, but hears those same voices you describe in his head. He also has delusional thoughts about having a neuralink in his brain, and people are out to get him. I’ve watched all of your videos. Thank you so much for being open and honest about your mental health. Any ideas on how to get my son to admit he needs help?

@@randistellar85 Sorry to hear that your son is going through similar delusions. I also felt like someone was reading my thoughts, that through sleep was how "they" took my thoughts and tried to control me and others. I was stuck in this reality, and there was nothing that could help me push it away. I felt like medicine was another thing which would control me. In some ways I still have these thoughts but I categorize them as something I don't want to pay attention to. So it is quite lonely being the only one you know that this is happening to. I would like to think exposing him to other people that have similar delusions in a way to show it's not him alone. This is not medical advice and you should consult a doctor before trying any medication... But my belief in medicine changed when I was checked into a hospital for 3 weeks, and they gave me a really small dose of klonopin, which for a couple hours fixed everything. there were no voices no delusions, I could extend love again to my family. That is when I figured out that there was a way for me to get past these unrelenting symptoms through medication. Before this I was thinking there was only one way out of this, which was harming myself. but lots of doors opened up once I started fighting back against it. Hope that helps. If someone is a threat to self and others, in my state it mandates them to be taken to a facility. First time was against my will, and it was my family that did make it happen, I was very upset at first, but forgave them too cause they had no choice and they were trying to help.

@@lettersfromschizophrenia thank you so much for your reply!! we live in CA, and the police have been called to his house 3 times. The first two times they just talked to him for 5 minutes, then left. The 3 rd time they took him to a mental facility. He was evaluated and released, not a harm to himself or others. 🥺 I pleaded with the man in the phone to keep him, that he needed help. He said “ oh I agree he needs help, but legally we can not keep him if he wants to leave” I have sent him some of your videos and asked him to watch them, but he won’t. He thinks it’s all phony and you are an actor. He also thinks the cops spray meth on his medication when he’s sleeping, so he won’t take any. I just wanted you to know that your videos give me hope that one day my son will get help and maybe live a good life. Thank you so much. And good luck to you in your quest for a better future.

@lettersfromschizophrenia Talking about your experience helps those who will let themselves read this. My dad had schizophrenia when he was young, and we were children. The first breakdown was 1963 . My mother would not watch TV because the president had been assisanated and she didn't want to cause him any more problems. They gave him a shock treatment at the hospital that helped, but it wore off some months later it started again. He eventually was put on Thorizen. It was sad to see what the medication did to him. I'm 73 now but I know what schizophrenia can do to people.

Thank you for being so open and honest about what your going through! Am sure there are people who relate to what your going through! I KNOW I DID. And the voices are wrong! Just dead a** wrong. You are going to be succesful in your business. If your business is being PART OF A COMMUNITY here online spreading awareness engaging with others who suffer through the same. I KNOW YOUR GOING TO GET TO THAT SUCCESS! I know that what kick start my schizophrenia was me being an insomiac for so many years. I asked my dr. Immediately i got backeracted for sleeping pillls. Am tired! I said. I havent slept in YEARS. i dont know if your open to that. But it did make my schitzophrenia bareable. And i woke up feeling more alive. These are just tools i used to get better! Ill keep you in my prayer!!! Much love to you!!!

Thanks Suzy! Yes that’s the businesses trying to help others see hope for their mental illnesses. I usually can sleep good now but the days it doesn’t happen, that’s when it flares up a bit. Was able to get centered again and get a few hours of sleep which helped! Thanks for your support!!
