Thanks for this Jack; you couldn’t have posted this at a better time. I’ve been on the self-improvement grind for about a year and a half now and I’ve made significant progress in all areas of my life except for my social life. It was only until very recently that I realised that I don’t really have much of one. Not because I’m socially awkward or anything but more so because I’ve been so focussed on my purpose and therefore I’d consider myself as more of a “lone wolf” at the moment. I decided it was best to distance myself from my old group of friends who aren’t really on the same wavelength as me in terms of self improvement and striving for bigger things. So lately I have been making a conscious effort to seek out more like-minded individuals and hopefully we can provide each other with lots of value. What you said at around 15:08 really resonated with me and is basically the course of action I’ve been taking recently. I think it’s incredibly important to socialise with others, even if they don’t share the same level of ambition as you, to develop and maintain your social skills (as I quite literally forgot how to speak to people for a little while) but still making your goals the priority and not forgetting the bigger picture. I hope you find the time to read this and I just wanted to say that I really appreciate your videos and the advice that you give. Cheers from the UK 🇬🇧

The worst part about gamers is that they are so alone that lets say you end up playing video games with them, even just once, then they instantly expect you ( me in that case ) to play with them/talk to them on the daily ( if you don't, they'll end up spamming you/asking what's going on as if it was a huge deal ), but I don't want to be your friend, I just wanna play video games sometimes. It just pushes me away from wanting to talk/play with any of them really.

Well... i have a group of friends from high school, that i like playing with (nowadays quite a lot actually, compared to high school) But, i've played with people i never met online you know, and i rarely if never ask them if they wanna play. i just don't push my luck cause i don't wanna force them onto it, it's be silly i do do this with my close friends from high school, because i know them personally, and there's expectations to play daily some times

This is not true at all bro you just encountered someone strange.
Lone wolf. Still am. Always will be. Had a bad start to life, in and out of care system... adopted... Distant relationship with adoptive parents. Never felt belonging. All I wanted was my own family and a purpose that I never had. I didnt know myself, where I came from and felt a huge hole in my existence ... So I longed for a family to mould in my own way. Had plenty friends through school but as I hit later teen years I realized I didn't enjoy partying and drinking and couldn't be arsed with fake people. Im pretty shy but as jack says found it easy to make relationships with People with mutual interest. But bit by bit my so called friends slipped away. I met my now wife at college (uk college) we got together, then we went to uni together... Lived together, Grew close, shared the same vision. We wanted to be young parents with our lives ahead of us instead of old ones struggling to keep up... My last remaining friends disappeared until it was just us. Me and my ONLY true friend to this day. My uni education turned out a complete flop, as did hers... so I trained as a site carpenter.. did great landed an apprenticeship at a great firm thought I was set for life. My body did not cope, it broke down i came in the door crawling. Surgeon told me my ankles where fawked and that I was done or id be in a chair. I have degenerative ankles and arthritis. I was broke, my firm kicked me on disability grounds i was on the scrap heap surviving on disability benefits and her wages. It was soul crushing. We then struggled to make ends meet for many a year, my wife was low paid and I was out of work. Then my son came along, I decided to quit all hope of working in the near future and look after him myself to avoid extortionate nursery fees. It was the shock of all shocks to the system, the loneliness, the thanklesness, the tiredness was like no other. I realized men really have to adapt and re learn how to be nurturing, it doesn't come naturally to us. We haven't got mothers instinct. I suddenly realised how so many women felt. I was on the scrap heap with a beautiful child but this child demanded me to be everything when i felt like nothing. Thankfully time passed and I got there and grew into my role and learned to swallow my pride about what I believed all men should be. I was taught a big life lesson in humility. Now I realize my goal is to be the engine and support to those around me but its still incredibly difficult, as a man your rare and out of your comfort zone a stay at home parent the support of friends is zero as they all work and kids arent interesting to them and you need to be incredibly self motivated and mentally robust. I am now a stay at home dad of three beautiful children as my daughter was born early this year. We have achieved greatly as a family through so much adversity. My wife is studying her arse off for us and is due to complete a course to greatly improve our income. We made it, we bought and sold houses using my carpentry skills and are now living modestly on a middle class street near a great village school. We made it but we made it alone and at a cost. There has been so much sacrifice but we have our valuable legacy, our home and our three beautiful children. During my five years at home raising three kids under five I have watched every jack denmo video going ...became an accomplished dad of young children, an accomplished fluid artist and have started learning spanish. I hope as pressure lifts the future will be more relaxing and less stressful but the ground work is there. Whichever way you look at it your experiences shape you. Just be ready for what comes your way. well done if you read all that and thanks haha wish you all happiness in your life and anything can be achieved that is important to you if you set your mind on it and focus.

However the hype is gone and now I just feel empty chilling, parties and smoking weed every day. This video really helped me put things in perspective. It might be time to focus on my goals, which is to write and film a movie I’ve been wanting to make for a long time. Even if that’s unrealistic or a long shot I need to finally focus on it and actually start and grind for it. Even if it’s just to find out I’ve failed.

I started out as the lone wolf that had friends and social skills. I dont know what happened but now I feel like I dont as much anymore, I have been pretty secluded the last 2-3 yrs. People still invited me to stuff a lot the 1st year and I'd see them every once and awhile then it slowed down and then I moved. I still go to the gym, and Its worked great for me professionally I have a SaaS company I have started not blown up but we have some revenue and low churn, but unless its business meetings or discussion I feel so socially inept. I have been trying to work on it again recently prolly why I have found this channel.

i'll definitely pick many friends over alone, but i dont need too many... about 6 close buddies to hang out with and make memories is perfect (i guess it's more than 6 if u count their girlfriends/wives)
I'm definitely a Melvin lol. I need to change that before I get too old, though. I've been wanting to write novels, but it's just hard getting motivated. That stuff you were saying about being too much in a comfort zone is exactly one of my biggest problems. As far as banging hot chicks, you'll eventually find this out when you hit your 30s, but it's not easy. Many of them are married and/or have kids and many of the ones who are single still want that. I have no interest in either one, so that doesn't leave me with a whole lot of options. I'm also ugly, so there's that too.

The part about streamers hits really hard, right now it's probably my second worst addiction after p*rn. It's way worse than video games cause when you're playing at least you are experiencing something cool yourself (even though it's fake), but with streams you're just watching, kinda like a game c*ckold lol. And also the chat on streams is highly addictive. Even when you don't type anything there yourself you still get those dopamine hits and a fake sense of connection, which is pretty fucked up. I have to admit that before this video I was very hesitant on giving up this habit, but right now I should probably do something about it

All good brother. You caught yourself and atleast now you're aware. Now that you know, share it with your friends who also fall into the same vices and help pull them out too
I’m definitely the lone wolf type. But the involuntary kind of lone wolf
Here is a personal experience: I was allways a very sociable person, from my early teens till my 19 years old I was the Guy that had a huge Amount of friends (some of them even said that i should be mayor, cause i knew everyone on my hometown), BUT I had a big dream and all of a sudden I isolated myself Very Very hard for one year and a half, nowadays I'm one step away from reaching my biggest goal, but It is extremelly hard to be Alone and also grind all the time, nowadays I feel rusty as if I have forget How to sociallize and this confussion makes me sad, so I would say to anyone that thinks about going on this path "grind as hard as you can, but don't let this go too far as I did"

I 100% agree with you jack. I am in this entrepreneurial journey and tbh I just realized I am such a lonewolf cause I have the social skills but didn't wanted to talk to many people or initiate conversations cause that's not helpful for my business until unless I find a person with similar interests as me or someone I could learn from something.
Man I hate the term lone wolf cuz it sounds cringe but denmo's description fits me very well. I don't hang out with friend much anymore, just too busy renovating my rental property, researching stocks or working (overtime). However, I'm very lucky to have a group of boys I always kick back with and always welcome me when I come back. Some of them are lone wolves too, we understand each other and sometimes meet up when we can. My girlfriend gets very annoyed at my antics lmfao
I'm more of a lone wolf and self employed but I'm trying to balance having a social life with my friends on the side, because I've isolated myself in the past and it made me pretty depressed. Loving your new channel and direction in content dude, keep it up.

Oh man I had this playing for some reason through youtube autoplay, although I do watch your vids a bit sometimes, and then I heard this lone wolf thing in the background and sounds like me so much LOL I very frequently debate with myself why I choose not to associate with others who like me, and it's precisely because I think too much of "can this person bring me some growth somehow" - like now I have a months-old new friend I see super frequently because we're both into music and that feels amazing, getting stuff done, and my best friend of years I've not been talking to some time on and off and he lives just down the street, and I feel bad sometimes thinking "I should invite him to stuff..." - but he rarely initiates fun and new things, feels to me for a long time that he just waits on me because "I can provide" - so slowly I stopped inviting him so much, especially as he denied quite a lot given how often I did things and invited him, ending in rarely inviting him to stuff.. this sounds so iffy written but that's basically what I feel somewhat award for you if you reach the end
It's not that the guys you play the game with only care about the game. They like hanging out with people that they don't dislike therefore you still benefit them when you come on the game. The problem is that they don't like you in a personal way, by that I mean that you are basically replaceable and in your absence, any other guy will feel the same to them.
