Because both of the fighters wanted to fight in different weight. Islam in 170 and RDA in 160 i guess. Which resulted in that.

Coach javier give an answer to that , I think first cuz islam makachev asked for 170 and he can't lose 5 pound in short notice , second if they fight in 170 Dana white will not give him a title shot , and also he will fight dariush in June , so what the point to fight RDA ? .... for the sake of the money , he don't fight for money he wants belt .
