Have you made this BEER?…You should!!!
After a trip to Sierra Nevada Brewery last year, I was inspired to brew a dark lager that I tried but am not able to find anywhere. Baltic Porter is a great style of beer and you should totally brew it for yourself!!! In fact, go do that now....click below for a link to MoreBeer to grab your ingredients!!!

Trying to get a lager done a little quicker? Try a hybrid lager yeast like NovaLager and ferment under pressure!!! Cheers 🍻

I’ve got two lagers I’m fermenting right now with Novalager! I love this yeast used it in ab 5 batches so far
Dude i really like these vlog style brewing videos. Just found your channel today and i cant stop watching. Im from baltics so its great that this style also gets recoqnition. I made coconut baltic porter last year and it was soo good.

Do it!!! I’d love to see your take on it!!! It’s a fun one to experiment with adjuncts on! Cheers 🍻
What a great idea for a holiday beer! I've always been a little hesitant on quick lagering something like a baltic porter but man you've convinced me!! Looks and sounds absolutely amazing! Awesome video and Merry Christmas!

Not sure I would say I necessarily quick lagers it. More like quick fermented and although it’s definitely drinkable right now I think it’ll age better. I also bottled up half a dozen to see how the age over time with the hope that I’ll have some next Christmas as well 😊
Holy hell that looks amazing. I’ll have to check out that yeast for my next porter. Cheers 🍻 and merry Xmas! 🎄
Love your videos ❤ You're the man! Merry Christmas. All the Best from England!

Merry Christmas.
You would be right, I have not had this beer style. Sounds like a delightful drink to have on a calm holiday night! Also need to give NovaLager a try still. Been on a dry yeast kick as of late, might have to try it out once I've run out of my w-34/70.

Nova Lagers pretty solid although I’ve had great results with 34/70 warmer and under pressure as well. 34/70 will sometimes have that hint of a sulphur note though, which I like in my lagers sometimes. Haven’t gotten that with novalager yet. Cheers 🍻

@@ElementaryBrewingCo oh that’s good to know. I too don’t mind a little bit of sulphur in a lager, but I’d also like to have a super clean tasting lager. 👍🏼
Merry Christmas bro!

Have one in the fermenter finishing out now! Timely video. 1.089 OG and it just hit an FG of 1.022 in 7 days with bock lager yeast at 50 degrees.

Nice!!! They are a great winter beer! Cheers 🍻
They say great minds think alike. I've done the same Baltic porter with the oak chips and bourbon. Slightly different grain mill. Has been in bottles now for 3 months and ready for Christmas holidays.

I may have been a little heavy handed on the bourbon. Soaked 400ml of bourbon and 1 spilt vanilla bean with 60 grams of oak chips for a week and then added the whole lot to secondary fv for another week bourbon and all. Trying one tonight to see how it is. Noticed you only used 2 ounces of bourbon. Did you get much oak and bourbon flavour in yours.

@@mattsawdy9747 no I didn’t next time I’ll go with more oak cubes and more bourbon. I’ll also soak them for longer.
Hi, happy new year! I did not find the Brewfather-Link to the recipe?

I have a small problem, 1 of the grain bill is karappa special 1, is that carafa special 1? I even used the CC to see if I heard it right.

TBH I really don't like Baltic Porters, but maybe I just had bad examples of the style in Germany. Love the vid as always dude!

The one I had at Sierra Nevada was one of the best beers I’ve ever had. Probably depends on the examples you’ve had but they’re hard to find for sure. Cheers 🍻
Как всегда мощное видео! Недавно спрашивал на novalager и это было быстро 5-6 дней на вкус нейтральный аромат и вкус как и хотел. Вы полностью отказались от стеклянных бутылок, почему?

Awesome! No I actually used bottles for about 10 of these so I can age them until next Christmas!!! Just used the cans to deliver, Cheers 🍻
I thought you were brewing a Schwarz beer. Heard of baltic porter 1 time other than you. Both are on my "To Brew" list

Nice!!! Both are awesome styles! I think with Baltic Porter there is a bit more freedom with varieties of adjuncts and other things you can put in there. Cheers and happy brewing 🍻
