I think Will Lankshear can be a star. He has good positioning, finishes well and has strength. He seems to have the striker’s instincts. Hope he gets a loan next season to see what he can do.

Great vid. Hopefully a few more get loans. Santiago, sunsop bell (sp), lankshear... Need to go out and learn their trade. For every harry kane there is a phil ifil. At 18 spurs fans were more excited about ifil. So we'll see. Hope they all have great careers.

I agree totally with your list of players, to the point where I will be bitterly disappointed if we dont see every single one of them playing for our first team, at least occasionally, in the next two seasons. They are being coached to play in a similar style to Ange's, so they should slot pretty much straight in. Next season, there should also be ample opportunities for them to get minutes. I would add a couple of players, at least to the ones you mentioned, too. Santiago and Soonsup-Bell could well be in this mix, also. Not forgetting Troy Parret, because even though I suspected his chance had gone, he is playing and scoring regularly in Holland atm so his confidence could see a revival.

Jamie Donley is no.1 by a country mile. The lad is dynamite and as you said, as a close match to Kane. Given a chance, he’ll be first team for the next 15 years. As an 8yo I’ve never seen anything like him, he had a brilliant coach and great youth club packed with boys that have gone on to contracts.

It would be nice for a premiership team to break the trend of just buying mainly foreign imports and instead give talented academy players a chance to fill squad positions and save money. This crop of Tottenham youngsters clearly have the ability to play at the highest level if guided correctly. Also players like Jude Soonsup-Bell, Will Lankshear, Yago Santiago all need to be given chances to prove themselves as they are all highly technical, powerful players lets just hope Ange is the man to to help fulfil these kids potential.

  • @pottero6

All 5 have huge potential for sure. Would also be great to see Lankshear and Soonsup-Bell given opportunities to kick on. I always want to see Spurs follow the Dortmund model - they have no problem throwing young talents into the team and seeing if they can cut it.

TBF, that was a different Spurs. Playing in a 36,000 stadium means your only chance to challenge in todays game is to have an owner with bottomless pockets. Even that won’t do now with FFP. That’s not Spurs. We’ve had to find another way - The Stadium. The amount of money being generated by the stadium now is unparalleled. It’s moved us on levels. And given us the opportunity to buy players we wouldn’t otherwise have. If Bale & Modric were at Spurs now, I think we’d be able to keep a hold of them. And don’t throw Kane at the argument, that’s totally different. Spurs are in a much stronger position now. Onwards & upwards. COYS.
