Have Cadisen created something great?
The full review is here of the NEW Cadisen C8200G.
Have Cadisen done something clever here? Normally a sub £100 watch from affordable Chinese watch companies are homage watches. I have no issue with homage watches, but am excited to present this watch that is still affordable, with a great spec and yet manages to offer original design?!
Is this watch still good though? Is it well made? Can you change the bracelet to a strap? All this is answered in this review.

To get a Nato or perlon on this watch, simply bend some spare 20mm spring bars a bit by levering them with a small flat head when on the watch. Bend just enough to then allow your strap to easily slip through! Thanks to all who suggested this after posting this video.

They make curved spring bars for this very reason. There is also a tool you can buy to curve your own spring bars, or you can just try to bend them with your hands. You may or may not need to upsize to a longer spring bar depending on how much of a bend you need.
Cool watch and fantastic to see these brands getting more original. I'd love to see this smaller diameter and with a smaller lug-to-lug for smaller wrists. Also more colour options, I think this would look cool with a metallic 'synthwave' bluey-purple. And a six o'clock date!
Thank you for this, great strap info!
I honestly believe that if they would sort out the lug to lug size and put a decent clasp on it would sell much more. Thanks for the review bud.

Thanks mate, I agree. They have been improving a lot over the last year, so can imagine they might tweak this a bit more after seeing the comments etc.
Another excellent review. It's a pretty nice looking watch, but for a few minor points. I do really like the dial.
Nice enough but truthfully you're looking at it on bracelet only if lucky enough to get a decent fit , agree with all points tho.
Nice case, dial, and dimensions. Don't like the bracelet or clasp, and agree about the movement. Great VFM
I don’t see the point on this style of watch, trying to accept aftermarket straps. Either make a watch with ‘normal’ lugs to accept multiple straps, or make a watch with an integrated bracelet - this halfway house means the lug to lug is huge AND you cannot fit multiple straps.

I agree 👍
Same situation as Casio F-91W strap change, gotta remove spring bars and place the NATO strap in.
Estimado, se ve que Cadisen ha realizado un buen trabajo, muy buena reseña, saludos 👍
Nice Looking watch, nice design, nice dial. sure they will improve the flaws you mentioned with time, more half links to the watch strap. Good Price. Nice brushing, Maybe One can use it with curved strap pins, like another viewer has mentioned. Cheers

Good idea with the spring bars, but still not ideal. Will give it a try!
Great review! Love the design and the fabulous green dial. Good that Cadisen are branching out to original designs more. An NH35 for another £20 would have been even better. Will try measuring width of wrist before ordering one of these though!

Thanks! Measure that wrist, but also consider I discovered a slight bend of the spring bars (use spare ones) enables a nice nato to be installed.

@@watchmewithwatches Thanks for the tip!
Love it
The Miyota 8215 isn't my favourite movement, I'd much prefer to see an NH35 or something instead. As for the spring bar issue, you should try it with some curved spring bars mate. That should fix the issue I think.

Nicely photographed! Needs a better movement and half links.

I really like the design 🇩🇪 and how good the finishing is. It could be an amazing watch for the price if they gave us a) better lume on the hands and b) a better movement with hacking.

I think if they take note of our feedback, and make these tweaks the future versions will surely sell like hot cakes! 🔥
Excellent review, it would likely be ok on my 8" wrist with the bracelet depending on how good the fit will be, I don't like a too tight bracelet. The straps are good and with some curved springbars, as mentioned here already, would mean you can try any strap. The movement puts me off though, the one watch I got with this movement was not a good experience. The movement was stuttering constantly and wasn't accurate. Definitely NH35 should have been what they used.

Im going to have to try some curved spring bars, ( or just bend a few myself!)
Speaking of a butterfly clasp being too tight or too loose and having no micro adjust, I recently bought a used Dumoreau DR01 (I think) anyways it has a butterfly clasp with no micro but there were geniuses, they included one slightly longer link that *made it fit perfectly. So simple, so smart I don't know why everyone doesn't do that.

Thats an amazing idea! Thats all we need sometimes is a simple solution.
Have a look at the Maurice Lacroix Aikon and see if you still think it's an original design :)

Lol, i know what you mean!
I like it, but the bracelet sizing is an issue
Bend the pin bars, I have a tool that bends pin bars to give extra space.
Great video mate and nice to know Cadisen are doing (kind of) their own designs. Glad to see at least one strap works.
San Martin is came out with their first original design few months ago so it looks like more chinese brand will follow this path.
A shame. A beautiful watch but the strap thing is a no go for me. I've had issues with Cadisen and their ill fitting butterfly clasps before (so I know I would have to ditch the bracelet) and if it's a hassle to make something else fit, what's the point?
The movement is out of date, the lug to lug seems too big and I have always thought butterfly clasps were a pain especially on the slightly heavier watches. Credit fir original (ish)design, which I do like. Stupid lug design. Great vid
Too bad they didn't do the chamfering in between the links on the bracelet! That would really elevate it. That and a Miyota 9000 would be a great deluxe version. Or at least go for the orient equivalent of the NH35... They're are systems to add on the fly adjustment on butterfly claps. I wish more people would do them. It would really be worth an extra $10 for it

I really wish it came without date window, btw do i have any chance to fit it on my tiny 6.3 inch wrist with the bracelet? Thanks 🥂

Take it from a 6.25 guy who owns the watch: No way. Unfortunately just looks ridiculous.
Curved spring bars will solve this problem I'm sure.
Would a milanese mesh strap work on this? Those generally have very thin end links.

Thats very true, I must try!
I bought this a few weeks back and that dial is just phenomenal and so is the rest. I just love the watch but I just can‘t wear the bloody thing due the enormous lug-to-lug which just looks ridiculous on my small wrist. It is such a shame as I think this is one of the best Ali watches that has come out in quite a while and I would love to wear it on the bracelet not a strap. Pagani did it better with their Royal Oak hommage.

I wonder if one day they do a 38mm version, with a slightly better lug to lug and maybe some spare links that are either half links or longer links to allow for perfect fitment.
@mayorofrlyeh8042
2 жыл бұрын
@@watchmewithwatches Well, it can be done in 40mm as Pagani has shown us though the „strapability“ ist not there (and the rest of the watch is not as nice as this one), but let‘s be honest: These watches with integrated bracelets are meant to be worn on that very bracelet, so I could perfectly live with that for a better fit.
There would be 100% more demand,if bracelet could modify.
Dann your joke comment regarding Chinese watches are somehow damaging our reputation as watch lovers was hilarious. It's true someway, we feel a bit of embarrassment for not paying for the original ones but then we look the prices it passes immediately.
