Hi haute42, I'm new to all of this and I'd like to order the T16 to go to my first tournament. Thing is, there's that rule that says "Joysticks, pads, arcade sticks with a timeout are forbidden". Idk what's timeout and I'd like to know if this controller has timeout (don't want to blow 90+ bucks for a controller I can't use).

How the quality? Looks cheap
I got myself the M16 really recently, in an attempt to save my keyboard from damage with the constant hitting of the keys, and I love it. It's just large enough to be comfortable without being massive and arcade stick size. It has a similar profile to the Razer Kitsune but for 1/3rd of the price. I'm so glad these lever-less controllers are having more people make them and becoming more affordable, I could never justify getting a Hitbox to myself! xD

I'm always really interested in seeing all different types of leverless controllers out there, so I appreciate videos like this. I honestly like the fact that haute42 has keyboard-like options. That was how I started on fighting games. Unfortunately I play left handed, so I had to build my own custom controller (using keyboard keys for all buttons with a brook UFB) for it all to feel natural and to basically stop using my keyboard. I even used my custom controller at EVO. I meant to buy another brook UFB while I was there, but unfortunately forgot to. A friend has a haute42 controller, and it feels nice. But I play lefty, so I couldn't get a complete feel for it. I kind of wish haute42 had some lefty options, because I would love to have one and to try it all out.
For those with the T-Series and S-Series controllers, I HIGHLY recommend the LoFree Tactile Phantom switches. They wobble less, and have a nice subtle but thicc activation at the top of the press so that you can FEEL when the switch is activated BEFORE bottoming out the button. You don't need to slam dashes down to know they've been activated, making dash attacks and sidesteps more consistent. It gives it a deeper, chonkier sound too.

I've had mine for about 2 months now and I love it. Cheap AND quality.
Got a B16 and an M16 a little while ago. Honestly they both feel so nice. Highly recommend any haute board if they're as good as these. The only thing i hate about them is that the button (pin) configuration is totally not intuitive. They have a web configurer that's honestly not bad. But they just aren't consistent with how they name the pins (buttons) across the configurer or the guide sheet you get in the box. So u have to kinda poke around to figure out which pin is which button. It's not a huge issue after u get it set up the first time but it's something that i feel like could be improved very easily.
I got the T16, and I came here to say something I haven't seen anybody talk about because it's not a "problem" content creators have! For the people who are new to the fighting game scene and started on a keyboard (because you didn't want to buy expensive equipement) the switch from leverless to the (WASD+Spacebar) mapping is SOOOOOOO much more ergonomic. That little curve the buttons are on perfectly match your hand shape and make special inputs so much more consistent. I 100% recommend (: PS: Sajam, I would also recommend making a keyboard "review" :D I believe you would learn a lot about what people who start on keyboard struggle with. And because you have so many buttons, I think you'll find use for macros (on your thumbs for example) for inputs you didn't know would be advantageous to have.
Loved the review especially the special guest at the end.
Been using my t16 and love it. Changing artwork is so easy too
My favorite thing about leverless controllers is that it's nearly impossible to get any in Europe that work with the PS5 unless I want to go broke, love that

I looked around a bit and Ultra Arcade sells leverless controllers and they ship from EU, when choosing a product you can choose which board it comes with it, but PS5 compitable boards still cost more. You can get a leverless for a PS5 for a bit less than 200€, still not cheap, but cheaper than Hitbox or Razer Kitsune for sure!

Just got the t13 the other day, my first leverless and I love it! Was afraid to make a big purchase on a controller style I never tried but I definitely recommend it if you're curious about leverless.
I can attest, the hotboard mixbox one I have been using for PC no issue, and most importantly affordable. Never pay big bucks for a hitbox again.
I bought the G16 as my very first leverless controller and it has become my favorite way of playing fighting games. its addicting to play with

@LadyMourne
2 ай бұрын
@lupapupa1963 nah, it's not too small at all. I have pretty big hands and even still I never feel like I'm crowded or don't have enough space
I've got a T16 and for me, the extra thumb button below the movement buttons is a much more natural position for up than the default. Dunno if my thumb is short or what, but having that option is another benefit of the T16.
That's the kind of innovation and affordability that open-source hardware allows, and that makes me so happy to see in action
i have a haute g16 and i love it. it is a bit small for my lap, so i have a piece of shelving that is the perfect size to have in my lap and the g16 on top. i think haute is doing some great things in the leverless space. im very happy with mine.
haute42 have been popping off lately and im here for it
For desk play which one you suggests? T16 or M16? The T16 without grip slips on the desk? For the forearm rest is better a bigger t16 or a smaller m16?
I've become kind of obsessed with these little GP2040 controllers. I've got a Haute G13 and today I got a Fightingbox Mini (different manufacturer, but it has a 12-keycap layout like the first Haute in this video has). I might get more. I just think they're neat.
Huh, just bought one of these myself. The t16 specifically, and I've been having a blast. Seems pretty good especially for the price, over here in Australia it cost me $116 on sale (I think it was about $150 ish full price?) super solid. Having 2 jump buttons feels really nice, its light, the RGB's are cool, the sounds are great. Honestly very happy that I decided to grab a leverless finally. Now to watch the video lol
Want to get my hands on the m16 model. It looks really solid. And I love all the extra buttons with all that extra options.
Bought the m13 on a whim... And I am really enjoying hitbox. I've been put off for ages as even the cheapest option from the US doesn't really accommodate reasonable shipping
The reina EWGFs in the background 😂 Soiya!
Someone at Haute42: "oh no, Sajam had to buy our controller! We must overcompensate"
I just got my T16 yesterday, its awesome!!! 100% recommend this leverless
I got the M16 from Haute42 a few weeks ago and I love it!!!
Got the S16 at the start of March. Very impressed with how it performs.
I am curious what the extra buttons tend to be for? are they for recording and restarting in training mode? because a standard pad has what? 14 buttons? including R3 and L3 so are they start and select?
Ive been using the Hautepad G12 since Christmas and I love it
These are tempting but I've had my eye on the Slab MX for so long, really wanna get that when I'm not broke
I been playing on a qanba obsidian for a while now which works great for all my anime fighters, but wanted to try a more affordable leverless for tekken and other traditional fighters to help clean my inputs. Biggest worry is if I break the buttons on a leverless, since my fightstick has spoiled me with it being durable, so maybe I’ll give this brand a try ! Thanks for the reviews
Ordered my t13 the other day, very excited
I just picked up my S13 and its amazing! I love it especially for the price. Basically everything else I was looking at was gonna cost me like, $150-300AUD and this cost me $75 including shipping. Have been loving it so far, definitely an adjustment from stick but really good
haute mini slaps for me, love it. Smaller than my cellphone lmao but it's like second nature to use from a lifetime of typing on keyboards
I LOVE the T16 and I only have 1 gripe. For my hands, the spacing between the left and down directional buttons is just barely beyond what is comfortable for my hands, and so I find myself using my left pinky instead of my ring finger which lind of makes things feel weird. I am about to purchase the S13 which appears to have less space between the directional buttons. My son loves the T16 tho so its not going to waste 😂
The mini is absolutely fun to play with. Very customizable as well
I upgraded to the S16 from a "flatbox" design and it was definitely worth it for me. The button placements were more ergonomic, and I can now never go back to not having those extra buttons.
Eyyy I just started Tekken a few weeks ago and I got a haute42 S13 and I absolutely loving it. Got into making my own splash screen and front and back panel and everything 😂

I have 3 of these! A godsend for people that wanna try out leverless without selling a kidney. Would recommend popping in a good set of full sized switches (Akko Wine Red), or Kailh Choc V2 Blues, over stock switches though.
What kind of brooks adapter would I need to have one of these work on my Xbox series x?
Should I get the one with Kailh lp switches if I already have the one with graywood v4 switches and it's a bit annoying cause they have so much travel time. I wanna gift mine to my buddy and switch, but I'm not sure if it's any better.
Hey Sajam, I'm interested in possibly getting my hands on one of those to try my first 3rd party fighting controller. Will you be making the announcement for the giveaways here on KZread or on other socials?
I made my own hitbox with gp2040 some years ago. Really easy to use and pretty detailed documentation
funny how convenient that sajam made a vid, when i was just looking to buy a haute42 leverless earlier.
Sooo where do I go to get something where the movement keys are mapped to the right side of the board? I've been playing on numpad for years.
I play on pad and have always considered a stick and now with everything shifting towards leverless I’ve been considering that too, those small cheap ones might be something to look into 🤔
I have the cute little mixbox one. It's pretty neat.

It is amazing, indeed I'm having so much fun with it 😅
The regular size Haute Board bottom paddles look like they'd be great for Osu.
Haute is taking over let's goooo, their hitboxes are crazy good for that price, shipping is very fast also.
What do i need in order to play mk1 on ps5 with haute board mini? 🤔
I only use stick but I’d imagine that ewgf/wavedash would be odd on the 2p side on lever less
i have a G16 and its just really good i bought it for 50$ from aliexpress.
I have the T16 and it is a very solid choice, and the T13 should be the same if you don't need the extra buttons. Doesn't hurt to have them though, unless you really want the regular look for art or something. There's two minor issues I came across. The buttons are slightly too large (30mm), but it's fairly easy to get used to them after a bit of time. If you have large hands, this won't be an issue. Also, compared to Sanwa buttons, it's not really possible to "slide" across the Haute42 ones like if you were trying to do right > down > left with just your index finger. The way the buttons are, your finger will catch the edges. I personally don't need this technique, but some people might. In comparison, my other leverless, the FightBox F1 has buttons that I think are actually too small. So unfortunately for me, I may need to look at other options in the future or just keep using them to adapt. But the button activation on the Haute42's switches is way more distinct and cleaner. You'll have way less problems with inputs in that regard.
Ordered the M16 because of your review, let's see how it goes
I've been looking into getting one of these since tekken 8 came out. Curious as to how they are and feel
Thinking of moving away from my fightstick to one of these for tekken. Do you have to use a converter on ps5 or can you plug in a ps5 controller to beat authentication?

Passthrough is ps4 controller, not ps5, since they are looking to come up as official fightsticks. Otherwise a wingman works too.

It's UP by default. Yes, you can remap any button.
Still looking for a mix box style one with - WASD+SPACE - Rest arcade style round buttons - Choc V2 switches instead of V1s - Around 100€ or open source DIY Might as well look again since it's been a while.
Oh god he’s got the Qanba 2009 in the background
Picked up a G series from them because I noticed my arcade stick had snapback issues. Never going back, without a doubt my favorite controller style for Tekken
The only thing the minis have that people might not think about until they use one, is pretty big ulner deviation. Make sure you get something comfy for long term use and comfort, you don’t want to have wrist issues one day
I cant tell if its just a skill issue or a keyboard problem since for me to pull off a 1 frame neutral id need to tap so lightly on my keyboard. My switches akko cream blue and should i buy a hitbox?
I own a Junk Food Arcade Snack Box Micro, but I really want that keyboard thingy.
Was a stick player in tekken7 and strive. I stopped playing fighting games for a few years. Picked up their mini hit box wasd board with tekken 8. Been fun and it's the cheapest lever-less around.
The P12 missing the WASD layout the others have is a miss for me from Haute42. It's the main reason I picked them up instead of a Snackbox.
I bought the M16 and ended up liking it so much, I bought a conversion kit for my Obsidian 2.
Bought my T16 two months ago and it instantly became my favorite controller. I have a FightBox but something about Sanwas on a leverless feels wrong to me (probably because I got into fighting games on Keyboard)
Been using the s16 for like a month now, super glad that I bought it cause it mimics my keyboard layout perfectly with the extra buttons (numpad 7, 0 location). Currently looking to get the b16 too but its sold out everywhere atm. It also works with ps5 if you buy the passthrough dongle, overall its very cheap compared to something like kitsune.
