I live in Texas and all throughout my childhood, we went to San Antonio every summer and stayed at that hotel and I don't remember anything happening, but my brother said that he woke up many nights to see a soldier standing at the window.. And after he told my dad, we never stayed there again.

Never stayed there but me and some friends went in there and asked the front desk if we could see the haunted room. They told us no of course but they also said it was booked and it usually stays booked because people are so interested in it.

Just because you don't believe or haven't experienced anything paranormal, doesn't mean that these types of things don't exist. I have seen many unexplained things throughout my life with witnesses. Just recently, me and my wife woke up to what I would describe as a large, dense, black shadow cloud that was sprawled out over us. I pointed to it and said, "What the hell are you?" At this point it it immediately reacted, it slowly rolled back towards the ceiling. At this point my wife woke up and witnessed it. It went to the ceiling, where it seemed to dissipate either through the air vent or the ceiling wall.. Now i'm not saying it's some dead person, but it's definitely unexplained and therefor paranormal. Some kind of advanced viewing technology? Alien life? Who knows.. But I have plenty of more experiences of different things that have happened to me. These events are rare, I could probably say i've only experienced something truly paranormal about 7 times in my life. As far as this hotel goes, plenty of people have had experiences in it. Again, just because you didn't, doesn't mean that these types of events don't happen.

I love this hotel. I'm from San Antonio and I have walked this hotel late at night with Family and Friends and it is genuinely very creepy. Around every corner you run into something different and of course your always wondering who the hell or what is behind you. Best time to walk this place is 10pm to 2am. Babe Ruth's room is right at a dead end and out of the way. Very spooky

My family and I stayed at the Menger for 3 days just last month. Very cool old hotel! We were in a room in the newer part of the hotel so, unfortunately, I did not see or experience anything unusual. However, I did explore the older part of the hotel, and you can feel the old energy of the place. I was able to enter Richard King's suite and I felt the hair on the back of my neck rise. If you ever have the chance to stay at the Menger, I highly recommend it!

I can't believe I even found this to be a real place. I came across this looking for images of old hotel lobbies after having a dream I was a woman in the victorian era who was pushed over a 3rd floor railing of a hotel lobby. This place looks just like in my dream, except the walls were covered in red velvet or wallpaper and there were a lot of potted palms in the lobby. Really bizarre..

Oh boy, here we go again.... i just made reservations here for a convention coming up this summer. Ive stayed in the St Anthony Hotel a few years ago, which is also haunted. I didn't see anything, but i heard some weird sounds late at night that kept me up! There were mysterious noises coming from the maid's room, & there was NO one in there that late. I kept my bathroom light on after the 1st night.

I had a nephew of mine come in from out of town a couple of years ago. I picked him up downtown at the Bus Station and I told him hey lets go to the Menger and get spooked. I was playing around and we went anyways. Mind you this was a tuesday night downtown San Antonio around 10pm and very damn hot and humid in June. We walked into the Hotel and started going through the main lobby and to the Citadel that is on the south end of the hotel. During the whole time I felt someone was looking at us. We proceeded up and down the maze of hallways and went to Babe Ruths room and Richard King owner of the King ranch. Let me tell you, where those rooms are located have got to be in some of the spookiest areas of that hotel. Babe Ruths spot runs right into a dead end. It's unbelievably scary just walking through those halls and forums. If you are ever in SA try it. Oh I forgot Teddy Roosevelt recruited his Rough Riders in the Menger Bar and you can go up to where he sat. Another spooky spot.

such an old area raught with violence and death since its beggining to even now (it's home to many gangs and even parts of hte mexican mafia, and of course has normal city problems), i'm pretty sure the whole city might be haunted. For example i own a house just on the outskirts, not an old house, early 1990's, we where the first owners and no one has owned it sense then, but i have proof and experinces that it is for some reason haunted.

this video is absolutely ridiculous. Don't fall for any of this bull. The Menger Hotel is an absolutely beautiful, historical and very peaceful place to stay in. Sorry, no eerie music in the background, no spooky noises in the night, no entities roaming the halls or nearby streets, including the Alamo which is right across the street. The Menger Hotel is only guilty for having a beautiful clean hotel with a helpful staff and a wonderful restaurant you can dine in.
