Me and my family actually went to the bridge. We got out of our car to explore around and then some other people showed up to explore as well. When we returned to our car someone pointed out that there was a hand print on the trunk. We had everyone measure their hand against the handprint and none of them matched. Later on someone said that they hear a woman crying under the bridge, but you could barely hear it. Then everyone got freaked out and decided to leave.

A SouthSide Legend , my uncle went to McCollum High School in the mid 80s said they use to go at nite time and that your suppose to walk along the river banks deep in the river not just stand on the bridge

I've been going to the Donkey Lady bridge since I was a kid. Just went out yesterday from 9PM to 2AM and walked on and off the trails for long periods of time with no flash light or phone light. I love that SA has such an amazing legend but i've never seen or heard anything out there.

@@Itsjohne05 why would I have to lie? I love exploring and finding evidence of paranormal existence. I just have yet to see anything at the donkey lady bridge, devil's den, abandoned mental asylum or the Chinese graveyard (all in San Antonio)

Ghost Stories are real DREAM phobias when we were children.

I think the donkey lady, lechusa and La Llarona all meet up on this bridge and talk about scaring people. I have been here in the daytime. It's closed to cars and has been for years now. It's just down the street from the Toyota plant.

This reminds me of the sheep lady at Peach Avenue park in Tyler,TX , I know people who have seen IT and so have I. The freaks indeed do come out at night. P.S. catch that s.o.b. and record it to show it to the world it is REAL.

I lived in San Antonio from 4-9 years old. I remember the older kid's across the street telling me about the "donkey lady," the barn party/ fire, a woman and donkey burning, and them turning into one creature. 1978 -1982 ish. There was a phone number to call the "donkey lady" and you would hear the human hybrid like sounds on the other end. Kids! Been snipe hunting too.

Is there a slight chance someone on the internet remembers a weird radio commercial with the donkey lady telling you to go to a specific dentist

It’s now the next day. there where a lot of people. I guess everyone had the same idea as us. Nothing happened but it was a little creepy. These children where crossing the bridge and decided to walk down to the water area. I had a feeling that something bad would happen to them but idk if anything did. We where there for about 10 minutes and noting out of the ordinary happened. Because of covid be couldn’t walk on the trails.

I've been there when it was really dark

Been there a couple of times late at night. Never saw anything but was still spooky and fun. The trails are really cool to walk or jog on during the day too.
