Also curious if you have ever come across a year correct box cap vintage retro style? I have a 71 c20 deluxe longhorn original 402bb have had it for 20 some years. I wonder if any new trucks now will last as long as these gems have? “Keep the dream alive!” 👍 Hope to hear back from you.

Wasn't these 9ft beds ?we've had a 67,68,69 not long horn with steel beds I've heard farmers liked the long bed step sides to.

These longhorns were 8.5 beds.. they did also make a similar truck to it that was a a stepside 9 foot bed that was built on the same style one ton chassis as a longhorn .. those didn’t get a cool name or marketing plan.. just a extra long and heavy duty stepside!

Gmc records were kept seperate from that of Chevrolet. Gmc records were lost in a office fire. The only production numbers known for gmc of these years are gmc that were sold in Canada.

I once had a Longhorn Camper Special. Check my assumptions: Options were: 8'-6" bed, 9' bed, 10' bed. Also a dually switchover kit including fender flares. Can anybody verify these options?

Just 8.5 foot bed longhorns. Also available were 9 foot stepside beds. No 10 foot fleet or stepside. And no factory dually trucks with a stepside or fleet side bed until 1973.
