This week on Hauk Machines the body for the Bilstein Unimog arrives back at the shop with a fresh new coat of Sting Gray paint, and final assembly begins on the project. Kenny and crew bolt on all new Hauk Designs armor pieces including modified front & rear bumpers, skid plates, side steps, and a brand new Warn winch. New seats from TMI are installed as well as a custom fabricated roof rack complete with Rigid LED Lights, a new Targa top from Bestop, and numerous random accent pieces from Mountain Machine and Expedition Imports.
Finally, the Unimog is packed up and shipped out west to Moab, Utah, for its grand reveal to its new owners at Bilstein Shock Absorbers. Tune in to see how the Unimog tackles the rough terrain and what the guys at Bilstein think of their incredible new ride!

This is amazing ! I would like to be there to watch this bad boy in the field.
It's like everyone just puts the biggest possible tires on anything, period. With portal axles on a Mog like this, you get crazy clearance (equivalent to a 50+ inch tire when running 40s). Unnecessarily big tires only raise the center of gravity and impede articulation.
I'm just here to see the steam powered jeep !!
