Picked this up last week. No brainer price. I immediately started a track around it. I don’t produce trap but i love ratcheting my hihats in my plugins for texture.

Never bought into Hattricks because the price was kind of high for what it does, but for the intro price of $20 and it’s from Thenatan, this was a no brainer to try out. Plus this review for you really helps me get to see what it has to offer. And I see you have an Arturia Keylab now too, so that convinced me 😂 Thanks for the video and demonstration.

It's pretty dope compared to hattricks vst. Cause I got hattricks and I see that vst has more features compared to it when it comes to the sound design of the hihats.

Is there any way to add swing/groove or to humanize?

I noticed you did a review on Hattricks 9 months ago (which I have). Would have been interesting for you to do a comparison video but I see in your conclusion that you think this new one is the best with nothing coming close to it. Honestly, I don't really care about FX built into instrument plugins - that's what I have FX plugins for. From that point of view, it doesn't seem to be all that ground-breaking. It's essentially a clone of hattricks albeit with some improvements if built in FX are important to you. Anyway, thanks for the review. I think the introductory price is great. Definitely a good deal. I paid $26 for hattricks on sale at plugin boutique but it is normally $69 which is overpriced. To me, this plugin looks very similar. I wouldn't assune it's way way better than hattricks, but it's definitely a better deal at this point.

I'm not here to throw shade. I got a lot of love for diginoiz and Thenatan is my guy. Both plugins will help improve hi hats if you need help. The whole designer module, effects and randomization of patterns/hi hats really sets Hatz apart.

I could be wrong, but my thought on the "Percy" is that it is to honor Percy Miller, or as he is indefatigably known, Master P! He has had quite a lot of solid experience with hi hats, 😂

Love you, Sumn. May be one of your biggest fans. I may also be done with Thenatan. This is the second plugin he's released while some people seem to still be waiting on a fix for Vybez.

dang bro i wish i would have read this earlier, i just bought vybez and hatz, tested hatz and its terrible, i wouldn't recommend it. how hard is it to be able to make these hihat apps work, all you have to do is allow the user to do the hihats in side of the app while following the tempo of the song then export the file. why trick people into buying wack plugins.

@@SumnSumnSumnHTK there is a thread on KVR. People say it crashes their host and makes nasty sounds switching between presets. An update fixed it for some but not others. He was active when Vybz was released, but seems to have moved on (twice!) before people got their issues fixed. I'm going to revisit the thread and make sure everything I'm saying to you right now is accurate.

Check the 808..it sounded like it was in a different key than the melody..could be me. Whatever key the flute is match it with the 808s.(You probably know all this)

You might be right. The beat throws me off because I was trying to follow the no kick with an 808 wave. My brain just wasn't processing it. Lol

Seems interesting for price, but I refuse to give this company another cent. They absolutely ignore requests for help.

Another useless VST. They wont give you a refund like most companies if your displeased... Stay away.
