Even 9 years after the launch of the 2.3L EcoBoost Mustang in 2015, there is still a lot of hate surrounding the EcoBoost. Don't get me wrong, the iconic V8 Mustang forever has a place in my heart, but the EcoBoost has its place too... and has fostered a new generation of Mustang enthusiasts at a more cost-effective price point. Follow along as I dive in a little deeper into how EcoBoost started and what it's grown into today with the new 7th generation S650 2024 Mustang EcoBoost.

    I saw a tear down of the 2024 Ecoboost. The internals actually shocked me more than anything else. The pistons had more of an oval shape than round. You could easily see by the design that the shape would increase the engine strength. Also the fact the new engine is utilizing both port and direct injection. The engine design is very impressive. I drove one as a rental car and was thoroughly impressed with the power band. It was a definite improvement over my 21.

    The S650 EcoBoost provides 315 horsepower. In 2014 the 4.6 V8 GT produced 300 horsepower. The S650 EcoBoost is a nice Stang that handles well with solid performance while not breaking the bank. I'm a big fan of the V8 S650 GT and Dark Horse but if your wanting to own a fun new 4.9 second 0-60 Mustang. The S650 EcoBoost is worth a look and test drive. I read those who complain that a manual transmission is no longer an option on the EcoBoost Mustang. Looking at the overall sales breakdown for the 2023 Mustang. Only 27% of all Mustang buyers Selected the manual transmission with only 10% of EcoBoost Mustangs buyers going with the manual. Nice job with you Mustang EcoBoost review.

    2014 has a 5.0 in it that comes with 420 horsepower. The last v8 mustang that came with 300 horsepower is the 2009 4.6. The 2010 had a 4.6 with like 320 or 325 hp tjen the 2011 was the start of the 5.0 412 hp mustang

    In 2021, we chose a 2020 HPP 10R80 for its potential advantages in OPTIMA USCA competition, specifically for autocross, and acceleration/braking, with the hope it could be a contender on road course as well. The budget was significant enough to have included starting with the GT, GT350, or GT500, but nose weight of a Magride equipped HPP, gave it an edge, when considering equal modifications to each model. It’s a highly modified 4-cylinder successfully competing against highly modified V8’s, to the point I’d say definitely, it corners better. Not a surprise, considering it has sufficient power/torque, and less nose weight, it’s simply physics. Excellent video on the subject!

    People who have so much hate over the EcoBoost, don't actually own anything even close to a Mustang. Maybe people should look up what a PONY car is, they prefer to just hate.

    Got my 2024 mustang ecoboost last November because it was on sale for 26k and just finished paying my wife’s VW Atlas and I need another car so that I can give my lancer Sportback GTS to my son as he is off to college. I live up state New York and love driving it through the mountains. I love the sound of the twin turbo, handling and breaks is great and did not break the bank.

    Don't feel bad about your purchase man. People are simpletons. These new ecos 0-60 as fast as my buddy's modded ws6 trans am. And that car is properly quick. Plus you get all the amenities of a 2024 car. It's a seriously great buy at 35 ish thousand. I personally am in the market for a turbo 4, NOT A MUSTANG. But the mustang just presents one of the better options in that category

Keep up the excellent videos (regarding suggestions, I believe you'd also make an excellent Drifting Driver since you understand weight transfer and how to manage it) and for selfish reasons only, I'd like to see you link crazy corners in full drift mode just for the smokey glory of a full-send.     Curious on if you have any tips to get this type of time? Are you always putting in 93 grade fuel? I can’t seem to get my S650 eco to be this quick. Consistent 4.9s tho!

    Love the Verona shot! I used to run with you in my 2003 Black Mustang GT. I love the Ecoboost Mustang. You know, Carroll Shelby's fav motor was the 289 because it was lightweight . You're 100% correct about the autocross also. You cant lose with an Ecoboost. If you lose to a 5.0 then you lost with a 4cyl that was suppose to lose, when you beat 5.0's at autocross events its cool.

    The base Mustang for 2015 used the 300 horsepower 3.7 with an optional 310 horsepower 2.3 L EcoBoost 4 cylinder

    I had a 2022 EcoTragic Mustang with the Automatic Paddle Shifters. It handled great and stopped very well. I was gentle with it for 3.5 years. Turbos locked up, and found out I had to get on the accelerator Pedal. When it locked up I got 8 to 12 mpg. So I started driving like I used to on previous, Vehicle's. At 39,000 miles lost compression on cylinder 3, why Turbo is mounted next to it. Turbos get to be 1,875° Fahrenheit. Then at 60,000 miles it needed the 2nd Engine. Warranty paid for 1 of 2 months for the 1st engine replacement. Ford Warranty wasn't paying for the rental the 2nd time for both months. $110 With rental insurance per day it would have been $6,600 for the 2 months. 3 days after taking the Ecoboost for it's 2nd Engine. I went to buy the only White V8 Mustang with the 3rd Pedal 6 Speed Manual Transmission in all of California. It is a 2022 Roush Mustang with the 3rd Pedal Rev-Match Tremec 6 Speed Manual Transmission. Magneride Suspension, and Intercooled Limited Slip Torsen Rear Differential same as the GT500. I will never sell my Roush Mustang even if offered cash $1 Million USA Dollars 💸 💵 💰🇺🇸👦👍🏎🏁🚩 There's a different reason why I will never sell her, and I have videos on why. I haven't specified on this comment.. Both times the EcoTragic Mustang had low compression was able to drive it to the dealership, though, both times cylinder 3 low compression. Turbo warped that cylinder. On Subaru the Turbo is mounted on top of, and Warps the heads. Ecoboost and GM EcoTech mounted the Turbos 1/8 inch from an all aluminum engine block. At 1,875° Fahrenheit what do you expect to happen. V8 5.0 is the only Engine that is reliable in the Ford Motor Company.

    @marcelk3847 Yeah, the Fiesta, and the Focus with the DCT Automatic Transmission Paddle Shifters was also junk. Don't worry it will only be 5.0 V8, and only 3rd Pedal 6 Speed Manual Transmission. Magneride Suspension My Roush Mustang I will never sell it, and if I buy another Mustang it would be either the 1965 to 1969 Fastback. Then Resto mod with Gen 2 Coyote, and Brembo to be anle to stop all the extra horsepower 👦👍🏎🏁🚩 I will never sell my 2022 Roush Mustang, not even if offered $1 Million USA Dollars 🇺🇸
