Excellent Interview! Hats off to you dear Ms Faye D'Souza and Mr Vikram Singh, a very tough, no-nonsense, and capable Cop indeed! A very tragic stampede! Things will never improve unless Politicians, Babas, and VIPs are victims of such tragic events! But they are always provided almost impregnable 'Rings of Security' to protect them on priority!

Thank you for your service Mr Singh and for this enlightening interview. He's obviously experienced, and showed the difference between a functioning bureaucracy with accountability and one which sadly has none. You don't need a conspiracy to butcher the citizens of the country when the administration is as useful as a one legged man at an ass kicking contest.

One must not think this malaise is limited only to the uneducated -- like with all cults, this is prevalent primarily among the irrational... A pity, and a sad testament to our schooling/education system...! What is needed, is (how) to teach rationality, logic & critical thinking right from school level...unlike the Modi/BJP agenda of undercutting the public education system, and shunning all responsibility while pawning off education -- just like healthcare -- to the private sector, so that only the rich & capable can educate themselves out of their situation... Classic right wing authoritarian tactic/strategy: If you have to rule over people, you must first control education, and make it into indoctrination!
