What did Viper Island do wrong, exactly? He didn't "credit" leaked images? You don't get credit unless you provided or took the images. He didn't give credit for footage? He doesn't actually need to. This isn't a thesis and everything he takes an comments upon is fair use. Stop crying so much.

@@slow17motion it would be the false copyright strikes leading to the removal of instagram pages to seemingly silence criticism. There are receipts for it too. Also you can't claim fair use while also copyright claiming people on youtube for using clips of your video, which he also did.

@@spittor47 Seems to me that not only was the Copyright system used against Viper Island, but that there was a concerted effort among dozens of KZreadrs to pile on Viper Island, which started quite some time ago. And you CAN claim fair use, regardless of your own actions--just as the individuals on KZread can claim fair use. Nothing Viper Island did prior to these copyright strikes was outside the bounds of fair use. I love how this guy claims that he "owns the picture" of the two Nemesis Immortal heads, when we know that was a factory leak. It's fun how leaked photographs taken against a company's internal policies becomes the "property" of a rando on Instagram because he posted them on the internet. Posting leaked company photos is not more ethical than reposting them without giving credit. As far as the copyright claims, we have "receipts"--that don't contain a legal name or a verified gmail address. Regardless, I have no sympathy for a bunch of internet bullies who are clearly motivated by jealousy piling onto a guy (and his kid, at times--and yes, some of them went there, too), trying to chase him off the platform. None whatsoever. Especially after so many of them celebrate the copyright claims against him. It shows a distinct lack of principles, demonstrating they're not concerned with the moral high ground, but with winning.

@@slow17motion while I generally agree with most of you points, I think it still stands that this concerted effort started after false copyright claims were made. We also know who it was who put those strokes on VI, and it was someone who said VI was using his photography without credit. After he did this, VI claimed he was hacked, which is a lie. I'm not fully invested in this, but all of the receipts point to VI being a liar and a hypocrite who silences criticism towards him.

@@spittor47 Once again, using a picture in a video is fair use. Nothing VI did was wrong in that regard. And I've been seeing these people go after VI long before the copyright nonsense a couple of months ago. You have the "Swiper/Diaper" memes going back a year or so.

I thought all of the drama that came out of this was ridiculous. It made me not want to be apart of any of it. Grown-ass men fighting over SOME ONE ELSE'S IP and marketing material or leaked shit that NONE of them were entitled to. I'm with Ken on this one. The gang up/clan mentality, gatekeeping and ass-kissery has become sickening. Fight your own battles like a man(or woman as the case may be). So many of these geeks want to fall-in-line and kiss the ring of certain larger channels hoping to get a come-up, and feel like they are apart of something. For this reason some of these larger channels/personalities feel tike they have some kind of propriety in the community and the discourse that takes place within it. I think that is bullshit.

Facts. Viper Island has been filming some project for MLB they have photos and videos on their IG all last weekend of them on the baseball field with players and stuff.
