***********ROCKY CREEK HOMESTEAD****************
After battling Psoriasis for years, I discovered the power of quality food and its positive impact on my skin condition. This sparked my desire to raise my own quality food. So come along with our Family as we transition from urban living to small self sustaining family farm. Learn from both our successes and failures in hopes it may inspire others to try new things. We entered into this journey with no prior experience and hope to provide many laughs and learning experiences. We learned most of how to do what were doing from watching others and hope to be able to provide a similar learning opportunity to anyone else who may benefit from this. Thank you for coming along with us on this journey and we hope it is enjoyable for you and your family.

Get a tumi 60ml syringe. You have a lure lock syringe. Tip designed to connect to IV tubing/ports. The tumi tip is longer so reaches into incubator further.

I happened to get a Easter Egger rooster among my backyard chickens special last year. So this year I got the cheapest incubator I could get that had rollers. Did very small batch at first. I got 1 that hatched out of 4 egg. (2 weren’t fertilize). Second batch did much better with 3 out of 7. So far they are all French Copper Moran/Easter Egger cross. Thanks for the info regarding the humidity. That’s probably my biggest mistake along with leaving the roller in until they hatched 🐣. I’m real curious what they will look like as adults and the eggshell color

It’s a fun experiment to see how they turn out. Easter eggers / FCM should make some great combinations. Probably get some olives out of that.

Where do you put the water in with lid on

There’s a rubber plug on each side near the bottom, you remove it and can squirt it through it. It can be a little bit of a pain as some of the water does leak out sometimes if I over fill. I generally keep it on a towel for this reason just in case

I'm thinking about getting an incubator like that from Tractor Farm Supply. Is that plastic or Styrofoam just out of curiosity as I've seen some knockoffs that aren't plastic

It’s styrofoam with a thin plastic outer layer. The one I have is www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/farm-innovators-pro-series-circulated-air-incubator-with-automatic-egg-turner . The price is much higher than it used to be. At the time it was the cheapest larger one available and think it was only around $100. There’s a lot of others that have come out since then.

@@RockyCreekHomestead thank you that's what I was hoping is that it had a plastic shell over the styrofoam that's what I figured. Thanks 🐓
