Before leaving for Koh Lipe, continue to experience the Chinese culture of this small border town.
It is basically possible to speak Chinese in Hat Yai Old Town (most of the shops we visited can speak it). Strolling in the old town, looking at the familiar Chinese signs, listening to the Chinese with a Nanyang accent. It feels like being in Malaysia.
We first went to a roadside fly restaurant recommended by the locals. It is said that this store is a time-honored small store. The diners are basically local gourmets. It is cheap and delicious.
When passing by a Thai clothing store on the street, I really like the color of the fabric, so I bought a piece of fabric and planned to come back to make a small skirt to wear!
