I missed out on the afterlife proton pack, so im most definitely hoping for an 84 pack. I think with something of this caliber, it would only be right to get more of this awesome gear out to as many fans as possible. Not everyone is always going to have the means for a once in a lifetime backer funded product. Fingers crossed

I believe u mean “repaint”. Not “retool”. Retooling would imply they modify their molds to accommodate completely new castings. This 1984 is the same base afterlife with different paint apps and just a 2 physical differences (the grips and Clippard).

@@ChrisBoshProps yea the only changes to the molds where the front barrel and rear grip barrel. Since they already had the molds made I doubt it cost them much time and money to make the small changes. We’re prolly talking industrial quality metal molds for injection molding.

It’s the exact same mould they used for the afterlife wand too. And regarding the timeout it is a must for these things. It’s a legal requirement for companies like hasbro to sell prop toy replicas like these with a shut off otherwise they would get into a lot of legal trouble. But you can sort of keep it alive without modding, all you have to do is flick the first 2 switches and leave the 3rd off then press the fire button every now and then to reset the timer. Personally I skipped the 84 wand as I’ve already made my afterlife wand interchangeable from 84, 89 afterlife and soon Frozen empire just using snap on grips and swappable parts. Glad they made it but to me it’s not worth the extra couple $ for a repaint and new grips. Now if they were to release something like the compact Neutrona Gauntlet from the new film I’d defiantly buy that. Also regarding the 84 pack, unless hasbro get the license to make them they will never do it. Currently the licence is held by Spirit which is why they make the more 84 styled packs.

They went with that choice for the clippard cause it's accurate to how it looked in the original film The old Mattycollector one was like that too

It was heard of though. We got the Matty Collector set.

It was confirmed by a Hasbro rep that the power off had to do with issues with the vibration motor. if left on indefinitely it has the potential to burn out the motor.

Thanks for sharing, still wish they would have designed a new board to fix the issue but I'm still happy with it and there are mods available to fix.

I have the mattel wand and afterlife and now the 84 version and this 84 and afterlife wands are way better than the mattel version still glad I got the mattel one back when it came out and I do hope haslab puts out a 84 pack I will definitely buy it if they do

I've been told the Clippard base letters are black also?
