The respect between father and son is commendable. The stability and trust needed to candidly criticize your son, knowing he won't take it the wrong way is something to appreciate. The way Rahman reiterated his bond by yelling "I love you son" when the reporter brought up his criticism was golden lol. Eid ul Adha Mubarak to all my brothers and sisters!

I feel like this is a really bad fight choice for Jake Paul. Firstly, Rahman himself is a significantly harder fight than all of Jake's previous opponents. He's about 40 lbs heavier naturally than Askren and Woodley, an actual boxer, and he's not washed. That should be enough to secure the win. For Jake to struggle with Tyron the way he did, you have to assume a real boxer who competes as high as heavyweight would be a much bigger test so on paper this is a Rahman win. But that's not all. Assuming Jake does come through this, and beats a legit boxer, maybe not a world beater but still an actual pro, where does that leave him regarding future opponents? Nate Diaz would have been the ideal opponent, but if Paul beats Rahman, it kills that fight as we all would know Nate would have no chance. This goes for other washed MMA guys like Robbie Lawler and even Conor McGregor too. I don't for a second think that Diaz, Lawler or Conor could beat a pro 12-1 boxer at cruiserweight so if Paul beats him his options for future opponents become limited to real boxers. To keep intrigue he might have to fight Vidal Riley by the end of the year, in which case the wheels come off the bus. He;s making it really hard for himself with this move.

If Paul is taking this fight, he has been told or thinks Rahman Jr is easy WERK. 🗣Now Rahman with his 13 fights with 1loss has to show us he is for real. Right now Rahman may be just a step up from a Club Fighter. Those 12wins out of 13 fights may be against bums and 🍅 cans. IDK!! And I never heard of those 12 guys he beat. As far as Paul is concerned, I think he is a gimmick and he hand picks the bums that he knows he can beat. He is just trying to continue to build his brand outside of boxing with these joke fights. My opinion of J Paul: 🗣He definitely is a CLUB Fighter who ✋️ picks fighters with marginal and limited boxing IQ and skills. For real, I hope Rahman Jr CARRIES HIM a few or more rounds, gives him a good old fashioned 🍑 whip n and then knocks him TF out. Str8 like that!!! 🗣♊️👤

@@berthahowell9258 1) Club Fighters generally are not recognized nationally. 2) And have not won any fights to show the ability to win a championship. Paul definitely fits in the 2nd category for real. Club Fighters usually fight locally and have a mediocre record. 🗣In my mind, Paul fits in both categories previously mentioned above. Particularly category #2. More importantly, I would not call J. Paul a JOURNEYMAN or a GATEKEEPER because he has not fought long enough and does not have the Boxing experience. Hence Paul, in my mind is a Club Fighter who does NOT fight primarily local. And calling him a Club Fighter is being nice. BTW, anybody who gets paid to fight can call him- self a Professional Fighter. Which is what Paul is doing. But their are levels to the Sweet Science i.e., Champions, Contenders, Promising Young Fighters, Gatekeepers, Journeymen, and Club Fighters. Paul is at the BOTTOM LEVEL of the categories IMO!! Right now I am not going to call Paul a Bum or a 🍅 Can because he seems to pick Fighters with little or no boxing skills that he can beat or KO like poor Nate Robinson the B Ball player. 🗣So what are we talking about here??🤔🤔 Out!! 🗣♊️RISING

I love that he's calling out Jake's gimics and props. It gives me hope he is keeping honor in boxing and not selling out. Hrs fight for his family. He won't take a check to take a fall. Sure he's taking a low check but he knows it's a great platform for him to grow his name and legacy.

In my mind, I've played with comparing Jake to Morrison. Looking at Hasim's last fight, I highly doubt that Jake will be even half as effective as Morrison. 1. Jake will have to work to set up and land the right hand against Rahman's better, more experienced defense. 2. Even if he lands, I'm sure (even if just in his last fight against Morrison) that Rahman as taken harder, cleaner shots than Jake may be capable of delivering. Jake will have to not just do it once, but skillfully again and again to down Rahman. Highly highly unlikely - I anticipate.

No disrespect to Hasim but I feel like losing the weight is going to be be downfall. Plus watching him fight his last fight , and even his dad saying he he underperforms, I can’t see him beating Jake. Jake has a lot of proving to do so he is determined. A person that “underperforms” sound like someone that’s going to quit on the stool and I see that happening. I can’t see him taking THIS fight out of all fights serious. He wasn’t serious against real boxers why would he be serious against someone quoted as a Disney star

Hassim JR. is gonna come prepared for that very reason because Jake is a Disney star. Hassim can’t take this fight lightly because Jake isn’t a real boxer. Hassim has been through the amateur ranks and actually made a name for himself. James Morrison is a real boxer so Jake shouldn’t look at that fight as a blue print because James Morrison is waaayyyuu better than a Jake Paul. @
