    Regardless of the heated trashtalking, state of the game, or other such troubles, Birmingham was a hype as fuck tournament to watch because of the crowd and talent. I treasure those kinds of things as an eSports fan.

    As a Brit who was at Birmingham. The food at the venue was atrocious. So expensive and exploiting the fact you can't get out to places easily. Even the chains in the centre across were way more than they usually are in other towns. If you come again, do more of the getting out like you said with the japanese meal and indian etc. That's where you'll see good food in the uk. Not in a big venue like that. Great to see you live and hope you enjoyed the driving sim!

    Was great meeting Sunsfan and Synd at Birmingham. Thanks Synds for the heads up to see you guys up at the top of the arena on day 2. Also as for the food in the arena its normal for the food to be bland for the mostpart as there normally condiment table for seasonings (not an excuse for the quality).

    Rosh banner is a semi-permanent buff that you cast on a hero. The hero becomes a flagbearer (like the creep). Anything in the flagbearer heroes AOE gets a max health/vision aoe buff or maybe wraith pact buff/debuff idk. Killing the hero removes the buff and destroys the banner.

    As it pertains to the NBA section, Sunsfan I agree, there is absolutely no reason to keep the 'conference format' they should have switched to top 16 records in the league at least 10 years ago, travel is not an excuse in my opinion. If players could fly commercial back in the 70s/80s, not have masseurs, machines, and all other types of advantages modern players have now, they can have some longer travel for games without crying, to ensure the best 16 teams are in the playoffs. The 10th place team in the West was .500, and in the East was like 12 games below .500.

    I feel like for the game. If it was easier to high ground. It would still be similar just that the game ends faster. Whereas the difficulty births the ability to come back like in the falcons games or some others. Which the comebacks always hype. But maybe making the laning phase less punishing/less gold at the start might help. But i feel the game state is caused by how good the players have become. Both in defending their base n itemising to break through it. N that would be quite hard to balance. I feel if high ground was easy it would just be fast stompy games which is worse to me than slow games. But some come backs

  • @cookiedoughdynamo2747

    I'm 100% with Synd that a lot of the forced objectives make the games more predictable, but in terms of highground they are also the ones keeping the teams artificially level. We got the expanded map with New Frontiers but it has yet to really have its first proper evaluation and tuning patch. However I think it's also important to check the amount of power creep over the years, through stats, talents and neutral items. Like if you're a position 1 and buy a 4k item that's cute, but if I'm a position 5 and we both get about equivalent value out of a neutral item, I get to the next talent threshold because of wisdom runes and a free Shard, just how much have you really gained on me?

    I do agree with people who say it is boring to watch the same team winning over and over. I myself was so bored of GG last year because it’s same exact playstyle over and over. I will say however, I LOVE watching Falcons. They play more pubby almost, I mean look at their picks, they are not only not afraid to pick off meta heroes but they make other teams pick these heroes and it’s so fun to watch all these heroes. That’s not even considering the actual play styles of these guys. It’s like, they make it look easy, you watch it and you’re like I could do all of this they just run and push buttons but then you realize they make the other top tier teams look like ancients. It’s so wild. But I get so bored of the sit back and out farm strats. I love how skiter will get involved and rush blink as carry like a second mid and they just rotate and gank and pressure and slowly take over the map. It’s a much better watching experience than watching a TB and a Luna farm racing playing PVE for 40 minutes.

  • @Micheldied
    @Micheldied2 ай бұрын

    The same people who hate trash talking are the reason the game will not change. Viewers who aren't good at the game who just want to see a fight every minute. Have a patch where any strat is viable, and the same people will complain that split push bad. I'd bet Valve adds another forced objective that forces teams to fight for next patch to satiate these people.

    Dota players don't understand the difference between banter and toxicity, they think being rude and obnoxious and trying to anger opponents is "banter" but it's not, it's just toxicity -and so is taunting your opponents as you're knocking them out of a tournament. Banter is innocent fun in good spirit between good friends, it's different. Imagine if tennis players threw coins at each other and offered high fives anytime their opponent made a mistake? That wouldn't be much of a 'gentlemen's sport' would it?
