I've seen it all over the news, and the internet in general, for going on years now. Politicians, ambassadorial staff, academics, etc. have been raising the profile of the issue as well. If people are ignoring it, it's willful - they see a greater benefit in turning a blind eye than raising the issue.
"What do you want the US government. ..." asks Hassan the man whose entire career was built on asking "who made America the police of the world? "

It's not so much the world has forgotten about the Uighur plight, its more due the fact China has nukes, the world's largest military and now stealth aircraft. All in all though, China is starting sound like imperial Japan: behaving like them.

Interned Uyghur. who was tortured and persuaded by the guards and officials in the concentration camp in Xinjiang should be publicized. widely so that all countries would learn the truth about the atrocities and genocide in the concentration camps in Xinjiang and stand up against the Chinese government . Journalists like Daniel Dumbrill. should also view this video and report. accurately the situation and not whitewash and cover-up the truth.

Perhaps, you should ask first that: Has the world abandoned the Iraqi, Syrian, Rohingya, Lybian, Palestanian, ... refugees? Uighur is living in a much better condition than those miserable people. It is ugly to be a hypocrite!
When the US fight against terrorism, they started the war, as a result millions of lives lost. When China deal with terrorism, we offer education to eliminate poverty. What China are trying to do is to build a new group of middle class among the Uighur people. We try to higher the percentage of Uighur population working as officers managers and engineers. When people get a better job, they are unlikely to become a terrorist, and they know how to make their hometown better. Knowledge change life, that's what we believe. For the human right concerns, I am not saying you are wrong, actually I don't know, I'm just a normal Chinese guy. China do have lots of problems, 40 years before, we are just bit better than Africa. I just want to offer a different view of this issue, if you want to know more, go and check it out.
