I thought we played well in the first half. I feel like we should play Bellingham in the position of Trent and having a proper 10 like Foden or Palmer. Bellingham has exceptional ball-carrying and is great on the ball. I could see what type of shape Southgate was going for. Kane as the sole striker, Foden and Bellingham behind him, Trippier and Saka out wide, Trent and Rice deep in front of a back 3. I still feel as if Bellingham can score even if he's playing deep, most of his goals are from box-crashing from a deeper position. Kane definitely needs better supply, he barely got any touches and was forced to drop deep in the second half to get anything. If we had a proper creative 10 and a proper winger out-wide, it might work well. We created some chances where we needed someone at the back post.

Thoughts on England's performance last night? 🦁

First 30 minutes were exceptional and showed how/why we set up that way ... When we went 1-0 up and conceded one chance, it rattked us. We turned to a low block, long ball, hoof it nobody, Brexit football vibe. Trent and Foden are wasted if we're not willing to keep the ball and take some level of risk playing out of a press to let the other team know that they need to retreat and hope we have a bad day in their third, or we'll carve you open. We gave Serbia way too much respect snd and let every team in the tournament know that we don't want to deal with a high press. Hopefully its just first game nerves and a well executed game plan, but its not sustainable.

Not a lot there I disagree with

Trent is awful with his back to goal. Vlahovic looked like he was gonna do something without any service. We were poor
