    He should have kept his original nose. When you reduce your nose size, straighten out any "imperfections", or eliminate the central "hump", it ends up making you look more feminine. Just my opinion of course.

    Totally, I wonder if it's the people in Hollywood that want actors to get this type of work. Even Goldie Hawn and Amy adams I noticed have had nose jobs but no other work at all. So, I think Hollywood my put pressure on it's star's when they see something deeming as "crucial" for furthering ones career.

    @@Longlostpuss In my opinion it does, because he did indeed reduce the size of the tip of his nose. I just don't think men should have a pointy tip, because that's more of a feminine look. But again, that's just my opinion. I don't think most surgery looks good on a man. Take a look at Biden before and after his facelift (it was sometime during the Obama admin.). Yes he successfully improved the overall tightness of his face, but I liked him better before; he looked more masculine.

    @@80s_Boombox_Collector Well, pretty much every famous person you can think of in Hollywood has had plastic surgery, so are you suggesting you'd turn down every single one of them because they've had stuff done? I'm not saying your opinion is wrong by the way, I'm just always intrigued on this debate on real vs fake looks, because normal people like you and I are judged according to these "celebrities". Technically nobody can apparently measure up, if this is how the standards of beauty are judged. Just a shame you end up finding out much later in life that they're not as inaccessible in looks as you were made to believe growing up. Everything is a lie, from their looks to their height, even their reported wealth in some cases.

    @@Kolemjen Hellenistic statues are far from "perfect" as per the modern conventionally attractive standard in the West, who is heavily influenced by US, who is heavily influenced by anglosaxon standards, because that's what the colonizers were. Anglosaxon and nordic countries have also despised(to put it gently) southern europeans for more than a couple of centuries as of now, so there's no way the modern US-set standard of beauty has anything to do with appreciating us. Which is evident by the way certain features typical of mediterranian people present and past, are considered ugly. And take any greco-roman statue and you'll find 10 people that look like that in a square meter of any city in Italy, Greece, Spain or Turkey, mediterranean genomes and features are the same, there is no "contemporary mediterranean population" only the same ethnicities who have inhabited the same lands and mixed within each others for thousands of years, that's what we are and how we look like.

    Dr. Gary, I've noticed that in a large number of your celebrity analysis videos you say the celebrities have tip bulbosity. Usually, I can see what you're talking about. In Leo's case . . . I just can't see it. And I can't see the bump either. He had a really nice nose. Also, although I DO see the change you're suggesting may be due to a rhinoplasty, I think in his case there could be a natural explanation. I noticed, as I got older and experienced facial volume loss and thinning of the skin, my nose began to appear slimmer. Because the change is so subtle for Leo, I suspect it could just be an aspect of his aging process too. Anyway, I watch and love all your videos, but I couldn't resist some friendly quibbling on this one point.

    That nose job was so subtle I look at his before picture and I still don't see a difference. He aged into his features very well. Like you could see a picture of him very young and one now and you can definitely see that's LDC. Those genes did 97% of the pushing. If he had a health lifestyle similar to Jared Leto he would look even better.

    Hi, I'm really enjoying your videos. You're clear and direct and without any form of judgmental tone which I really appreciate. It would however be interesting and maybe more nuanced if you would mention if a certain change of look could happen due to natural aging. I'm in no way even close to an expert in this field, but I would imagine that changes in appearance that require surgery for some people perhaps could appear naturally in others. Please inform me if I'm completely in the wrong here as I'm basically just hypothesising. Thanks for the educational entertainment you're creating ✌️

    Hey, may I ask a question that's been bothering me without a clear answer? I've come across statements in some medical textbooks and scientific papers suggesting that the tip of the nose contains elastic cartilage. However, in most publications, it's described as hyaline cartilage, even in biochemical analysis. Could you please help clarify this doubt when you have the time? Thanks, for this video, BTW.

    From @3:30 Agreed with your assessment. I had a nose job 20 month ago and as a person with thicker skin I was told that it would take a lot longer than a year for me to see the final result. After 20 months the skin hasn't fully shrank to wrap around the new cartilage and they still swelling towards the tip and side of the nose. Also in my case an open rhinoplasty was done because the surgeon stated he needed to see the inside of the nose and couldn't get the results I wanted with a closed rhinoplasty.

You see if you were to lose two fingers you might say I would thank God if I got those two fingers back. But we don’t think like that. Because we figured everyone has 10 fingers and 10 toes. In general… If you have a time to watch a video like this on the hook up to make a comment… I bet you have a lot to be thankful for.

    My theory is singers age better because they engage their facial muscles more than most people

  • @ChloeGaubert

    @ChloeGaubert

    8 ай бұрын

    @@juliannar9376 interesting ! I thought the opposite because, if they use them a lot, the wrinkles become more noticeable and sooner. For example, if you sing for 2 hours every day while raising your forehead, your forehead is marked. Whereas if you never move your forehead muscles, they don't wrinkle because they are at rest. Some singers have forehead wrinkles at around 20 years old because they use their muscles. Personally I almost never use my forehead muscles and at almost 25 years old I am not wrinkled in this area. Sorry if my English is incorrect I used a translator to help me write what I wanted to say.

    Heya Gary, I have an idea for a video. I just watched the latest UFC fight and noticed that Alexander Volkov grew a decent amount of hair back!!!!!! If you google pictures and watch some videos of him last year/few fights, his frontal region was separating to a single patch, similar to the way Francis Ngannou was (until Francis admits that he had a hair transplant to overcome that) Alexander’s hair looked pretty bad before and it’s actually impressive how much he’s grown back in about 1-2 years. Since your our expect, would be ingested to know if he’s had a hair transplant (same as Ngannou) or he was able to achieve that with drugs such as Finasteride/minoxidil. And it’s featuring a fellow Slav :))) Cheers
