    12 years ago, I found myself standing in a small line directly behind a beardless Jared Leto. Im not big on movies and film, so I didn’t know who he was at the time, but I was immediately struck by how INCONCEIVABLY BEAUTIFUL this stranger was. It was the first thing I mentioned to my friend when I got back to our table, and he clued me in as to Jared’s identity. Being “movie star pretty” is a real phenomenon, y’all. Pictures don’t do this guy justice, I’m telling you!

    I'm not convinced he's done procedures other than maybe facials. Remember his hollow cheeks were from when he was losing a whole lot of weight for a role. He subsequently gained it back and cheeks got fuller again, plus beards hide age for men. He could have had injections, but if he tells me he never had, I would believe that too.

    In 2012 Jared shaved his eyebrows and lost a lot of weight for the role of Rayon - a trans woman and AIDS patient. That's why he looked sickly during that period - he lost some soft tissue in the face and his bone structure was very exposed. The goal was to look like a person dying of AIDS. The fact that in 2013 his face looks more full again doesn't necessarily mean he got fillers, he most probably just went back to looking like himself and not the character he portrayed.

    Dude hit it with the genes. You can really see when he was younger that he had the the kind of face that was going to age well if he didn't go through any extreme weight changes. Like the things that he has had done have not been extreme. Those are probably the best fillers I've seen so far on this channel. Whoever did it really knew when to leave the table 😂

    The worst part is that he actually gained like 60 pounds for a role in 2007 where he looks almost unrecognisable. He lost it quickly after tho, but you would think such a quick weight gain and loss would affect the body more significantly. Dude really won the genetic lottery bigtime

  • @blackbirdflyyx

    @blackbirdflyyx

    He has been through extreme weight changes. He gained 67lbs for Chapter 27 and lost it super quickly after filming (liquid diet for the 10 first days). He also lost 40lbs in a couple months’ time by basically not eating (he was cast quite late and only had a couple months to prepare if I remember correctly from a decade ago lol) for his role in Dallas Buyers Club which he won an Oscar for. But I think, genes aside, his generally healthy and active lifestyle helps lessen the damage from these extreme measures.

    I met him once at a concert at the Hard Rock in Orlando. My friend and I were about 16 and his band was opening for the one we came to see. We were standing outside debating if he was the guy from Requiem for a Dream (he is) and he walked straight up to us, basically in-between us even though there was plenty of space outside. He seemed like he was looking for someone and we took the opportunity to try to ask him if he was in the movie, before we could get our question out he said "yeah you're cute" and walked away. It was startling because he didn't make eye contact or really acknowledge us, let alone let us finish asking him a question. This was 20 years ago, I still think about it when I see him. It's always seemed strange to me how celebrities eventually are so use to people treating them differently that they stop treating you like a normal person, like making eye contact or acknowledging you. While working at Hard Rock I ran into a few celebrities and most were this way. I feel sorry for them.

They took pictures with him and somehow he just kissed her and walked away. Like I don't blame the lack of eye contact. A lot of these celebrities aren't comfortable with having to interact with so many people and not making eye contact is a good way to shut that down but lol some of them need to just walk away 😂

    He’s response sounds odd but he strikes me as someone who reads alot and has a strong understanding of psychology and human nature. When we come in contact with someone of a high status like celebrities and feel the urge to speak to them it is a form of validation and an ego boost to the “fan”. The fact a celebrity gave them the time of day is obviously memorable, you still remember and are sharing 20 years later. Sounds like a dismissive way to still give you the attention he assumed you were seeking.

The comparison at 7:46 where you mentioned perhaps the use of filler, I believe is comparing him looking think and sallow due to a role, and then him fuller and at a healthier weight later on. Just my 2 cents as a fan of Jared and not a doctor :)

    I always assumed he had had a nose job. It looked pretty different to me. But I had also assumed he had an upper blepharoplasty at some point due to the increased visualization of his upper eye lids, and the overall tightness of them. Guess it could just be aging and fat loss? And I totally agree about the fillers. They were done very well. Really softened his face and made him look more youthful. Fillers overall have been such a game changer. I've got them a few times in the past (to replace natural fat loss), and even the smallest amounts can make such a big difference.

And it terms of nose surgery, I am pretty sure he broke his nose at a concert around the age of 30. I think he is extremely blessed with genetics and has a very healthy lifestyle. There might be some botox or skin treatments involved. But its not very obvious if so.

    When I was a teenager,33 now, my sister in law and I went to see 30 seconds to mars when we lived in Vegas. This was back in 06/07(gotta find the ticket to confirm) we had ground level passes at the thomas and mack center. During the show, Jared left the stage and walked through the ground floor. I had a disposable camera. As he was walking through the crowd, it parted enough for me to quickly step in front of him and snap a picture. I have an upclose picture of Jared Leto, that no one else has, and I charish it with all my heart. I also got their album, a beautiful lie, signed by the band after the show. I deadlocked eyes with Jared the whole entire time I was walking down the line to get my CD signed. To say this didnt give my 16 year old self an ego boost is an understatement. My sister-inlaw and I also got pictures with the band, but that picture has been lost to the ages in storage. This memory will live in my head FOREVER. What does this have to do with plastic surgery? Jared has often lost and regained his weight for roles, so imo it would be better if you would’ve considered his filmography as well. Because weight makes such a big impact on your facial features it’s unfair to not take that into consideration. It’s like me looking at Christian bale from the machinist and then Batman begins and talking about his face without addressing his weight gain/loss.

  • @asniffer6532

    @asniffer6532

    Not often, he only gained a lot of weight for his role as John Lennon murderer. He lost weight for Dallas Buyers Club but he has always been very lean, so his skin has been tight up most of his life. Your skin do loosen up with weight fluctuations which is something very normal for most of us mortals but Jared Leto is a huge advocate of super healthy lifestyle and I do believe the man follows it religiously.

    I generally like all the remarks you make in your videos, but in Jared's case, it looks like just good genes, good lighting (some of the pics with the undereyes shadows have poorer lighting, and the ones where he looks 'better' has direct strong lights straight over his face, perhaps flashes from the camera). Also, there's some slight weight fluctuation in between these pics, of course more fat=smoother face. I looked older every time I lost a lot of weight because my face looked hollower, and more juvial whenever my face regained the fat around the cheeks, no Botox involved. The recession of the hair you were pointing was also showing more because he had his hair in cornrows in that pic, of course that'll happen. I think he has no Botox or surgeries. Just some better pics from better angles and lighting.

    Well said. Rather strange to me that this surgeon hasn't taken any of these things into account; but then again, it is not unusual for professionals to fall into the trap of perceiving things exclusively from the point of view of their work, to the point it literally "distorts" how they look at the world. Side note: obviously this is not evident in the photos shown here, but Jared has a remarkably expressive face too -- which I doubt would be possible if Botox were ever involved.

    I think some things to be considered is that, he has played different roles where he had to lose a significant amount of weight. That will give anyone that hollowed out look. Then once the role was over, he put some weight back on. He does a healthy vegan diet and strict exercise regime as well. It doesn’t look to me that he’s had filler? But if so very minimally. maybe Botox? As I’ve noticed not much lines or expression to the face. Face looks slightly of frozen. Whatever he is doing it’s done minimally and mostly natural looking. He always kept skinny, so his skin remained tight even after he got old. Most of us will fluctuate in weight, and that will help to loosen up the skin everytime we gain and lose weight. Also beware, people like to say Actors put a false perspective on beauty because they do surgery but Leto never said he did anything and it's a surgeon that is saying he might have done something to look that good. That being said, the only one doing advertisement for plastic surgery is the doctor himself, remember, they are $$$$ for those procedures and want people to believe that taking care of yourself and living a healthy lifestyle is not enough! If you search, you will learn that Jared Leto has always been a HUGE advocate of a SUPER HEALTHY lifestyle, a healthy style that most of us would not have the discipline to follow. So keep that in mind instead of always saying something is impossible without cheating, that makes your standards very mediocre..

    Maybe there is something beneficial to being a cult leader, lol. Nothing good, but as far as anti-aging secrets go.

    It would be interesting to also get your insight/comparison on Evan Peters. He too is one of those celebrities who seems to age backwards and some of his younger & most recent photos seem like he has hardly changed anything whereas in a few others it gets a bit confusing as to how much he looks significantly different!

    I am not even sure if he had check fillers. He lost a bunch of weight for the Dallas Buyers Club movie and as a result, his cheeks looked a lot hollwer for a while. As he re-gained his weight, the cheeks seem to have flilled up too?

    Yeah, I think it was just healthy weight gain. Apart from maybe hair plugs and Botox he looks to have (barely) aged naturally.

    Yeah, apparently, he was so thin for Dallas Buyers Club that he had trouble staying active more than a few hours a day at some point. He's always been pretty extreme in preparing for his roles, so I think that the subsequent changes in his cheeks are just a natural consequence of him returning to a more normal weight. Definitely amazing genes, botox and taking good care of his hair. 😅

    Agree. I know people who had significant weight loss, in part due to unhealthy lifestyle. Once they started more healthy living, their faces filled in naturally & skin & hair improved. Jared lost a lot of weight at least twice for movie roles.
