It’s so satisfying seeing high mana cost commanders do well. Tivit then now Atraxa? Niv-Mizzet still pops up here and there too. I love it!
Your they guy that got me into cedh, thank you so much, I really love your channel and I'm so glad that you make awesome videos

These videos are awesome! I’ve been trying to get into CEDH for a while and watching these give me ideas for how to improve my decks
Absolutely love the content! Also can’t emphasis how much I love the retro foil promos like E wit / Niv miz we have been getting.
With your monthly top deck break downs, it was cool seeing decks/pilots go from 15th-16th, to 10th-11th, to top 4 or even winning the tournament.
Yeah, just saw this now. I was the pilot and brewer of the krark/si deck, and i built it specifically because i wanted to play cEDH unique to anything I have seen. I spent about 2-3 weeks brewing grixis decks and ultimately stumbled upon the cedh database "krark-si lowlife deck". I essentially built the deck ground up from that point, really leaning into a reactive midrange deck compared to the typical krark storm lists. The amount of value krark can pull, even on failed flips, is quite ridiculous. And although this is a deck tailored to midrange, i was able to present wincons in 3 of my 5 ka0s games on turn 2. I dont run any wheel effects, and have essentially removed most 2-3cmc staples from the grixis color identity, as I have found 1cmc draw 2 is almost better in every situation. By using these cantrips, i can bluff my way through many situations by having 6 cards in hand and 4 open mana. Without a MAJOR misplay on my part in game 5, i think this deck had a strong chance of being at least a top 4 competitor, and i came quite close to beating the near flawless champion of Ka0s TS2 in my 2nd pod

Tasha's Hideous Laughter serves as one of the "Storm" wincons, and I have found that even resolving a turn 2 tasha's will hose most turbo decks as it often removes ~15-20 cards. Aether spellbomb is quite possibly the most annoying thing an opponent could see me drop turn 1, it is repeatable creature removal that also can be turned into repeatable draw and fits perfectly into the midrange gameplan. Codex shredder is my answer to losing my wincons to counterspells and it also hoses top deck tutors. Most flex 1cmc spells such as end the festivities aim to provide as much value as possible for the lowest mana investment, because even on an average of 2 mana per cast, 2 mana draw 2 is nothing to scoff at, especially of you have tavern scoundrel or archmage on board

Love these videos. I learn about a new deck or an innovation within a list every time.
I'm convinced that Temur Dargo is going to be in the Top4 best decks this year. Green needs help but it isn't dead. AND Dargo is practically a 1 mana Rograkh in these lists.

Love the breakdowns! ❤
Great breakdown, way too much sleeves imo. Cant wait for the tayam deck tech too! Very impressed with your take on the decklist in this vid, you pretty much hit the nail on the head with counters v mana. Thats exactly what the deck needs to hum.
Im mot sure if its been mentioned yet, but for Krark/silas, one of its bigest strengths is it can essentially turn cards like tainted pact and demonic consult into one card wincons if you can get copies of them to resolve
Really happy to see your continued love for Tivit. Tivit is actually the deck that got me into cEDH and my first cEDH deck (building Winota next, huh, wonder why...) I was looking at the SNC commander decks, not really enthused about the face commanders for any, but something about Tivit just grabbed me. I initially built Tivit as a casual edh deck with some voting fun mixed with shenanigans (Exporpriate, still Time Sieve, etc), and quickly realized how strong the mustachioed bird person is when they ponder that orb. Quickly leaned into making him as strong as possible, and currently have a version of Tivit cEDH with most of the cards (everything not on the reserve list) in paper, and proxying the ones (on the reserve list) that I will never own. Anyways, love the video and content.
Really looking forward to the Tayam deck break down.
Promise of bunrei + ashnods + tayam is an infinite combo with tayam. You can sac the 4 spirits to make mana and to activate then put promise back on the battlefield. You end up with infinite colorless and your deck in the graveyard.

You actually end up with all cmc 3 or less cards in play and win the game. But yes. because boom makes 4 bodies which means you only need to sac 3 each time to loop with the alters and always nets you one extra. But same idea.
Heck yeah, so happy to see my Boi pako
Tayam is my new favorite cEDH deck, I’ve been tearing up tourneys at my LGS with it
Are you going to be making a video on Ka0s 7? I know it was the same day as Mox Masters so there was some conflicts of time.
Can't wait for the tayam deckteck :D
LETS FUCKING GO NEOFORM PAKO, i pioneered neoform pako on the server over a year ago and to see people doing well with it and trying new things is so satisfying
Great content! I'm friends with the krarkSi pilot irl and it's actually pretty scary. Krark copy ability makes cards like demonic consultation, tainted pact, and demonic tutor one card win cons!

Tayam is literally my first commander when i bought the 2020 precon. Deck tech please 🙇 I want to try playing it competitively.
I'm a little confused as to the Mox Opal. There aren't that many artifacts in the deck. Unless this is meant just as Displacer Kitty fodder I don't see a person getting reliable use out of it in this deck considering it needs 3 artifacts in play to be activated. What am I missing?
a lot of times with atraxa, one cast can have you ready to win the game next turn cycling through 10 cards with a combo piece in your hand is kind of strong
Codex shredder is so good in the midrange/lategame meta with silas. Being able to grab any card in the yard to grab a win, fuels breach, and solid recursion engine with silas

Thrassios/Tymna is still viable. Perhaps it is no longer the top of the “S” tier. It will be a contender for quite a while.

It's funny how visually bored Ian is when describing Najeela NBC or Blue Farm vs even the other very well established decks in this top 16.

Peer into the abyss is 7. She basically wins the game on cast, in a staxy meta (most tournaments) her keyword soup and giant body are tough to deal with. It's easy to generate a f tonne of mana in cedh, I always seem to have mana and lack card advantage. She has a lot of things going on and they add up. She's hard to evaluate. Pay 7 draw 5 sounds a bit meh, but you're digging 10 and owning the board as well. Plus food chain has fallen out of favour so people have made slight deck adjustments accordingly.

Plus it's just one result, slicer won a tournament. People place way too much emphasis on tiny sample sizes. Literally anything has a chance in a 4 person pod. If players aren't threatened by an opposing commander or certain plays, then they let some plays slide and direct their interaction elsewhere.
